I was graced by Alinas talent at a concert once. She brought me to tears. Such a gifted soul.

I miss Mary terribly and think about her often. She was a force of nature and one of my mentors. I learned a lot from her. It was my great luck to have her and her family in my life. I recall with great fondness she calling me at Jcpl and asking me “what’s the ding?” The other favorite was when she’d call me at jcpl and say “Lets get a soup at the quiet man.” Those were special days.

I’ve known Carla Ulbrich since April 2001; a gal I was accompanying in bass named Judith Tulloch shared the bill with Carla when Carla was gigging in the New York Hudson Valley. I was only employed by Judith for a year, but I am most thankful to have maintained my connection with Carla. I went to see her three years later back at that same venue when this song was new. I bought the CD single of it; the “A-side” was the uncensored version. Suffice it to say, this rendition is funnier.

The Messiah expected was supposed to save Judea from the oppression of Rome. To free them of the Roman ties & taxes... However eventually the Empire of Rome most certainly did fall to Christianity. That's the power of Faith created by suggestion. Then Rome became Holy. A Rabble Rouser disrupted the house of David which was taken as a threat.

Stasz gave up a promising career to slave away for the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses at their HQ in NY. After he slipped up and made a mistake, he was excommunicated and thrown out with nowhere to go. Due to this treatment (as if dead by family and all JW's) and related severe depression, he committed suicide by stepping out in front of a subway train in 2012. JW's = CULT!

Gorgeous sounds there! I wish there would be more of that powerful string tone in European organs... And French horns. Also Flute celeste type of stops. Some of those were built in Sweden in the 1930's, but as far as I know they're all gone. Way too decadent for the organ movement I guess...
