criticizing this man for how he performs a flawless dance should put you to shame. Give it to someone young that doesnt fully understand to think they know best. Tii Chi is meant to heal as well as defend. To think only to harm others is harming yourself in return. And to think MMA fighters consider themselves professional martial artists is like saying a painter is as good as DaVinci bc they copy the creators footsteps.

As far as I can see, that is the slow set done fast! Not an original fast set as such. There other fast sets here on KZbin, that look specifically for fast practice. Good on you anyway!

If you are a lot heavier than they are the results will be a lot more dramatic, and they are already dramatic even if you are lighter. Bigger is better even in the internal arts.

Heyooo I think this is an awesome performance. To the people who say it isn't, would you care to present a better example of fast/hard performance of this form? I haven't been able to find one of the complete 108 form besides this one. Besides, since I'm asking, have you ever seen an actual fight using Tai Chi moves? Thanks!
@tonykong851710 жыл бұрын
Wonderful, his characteristic is ability to absorb all the coming force without attacking the opponent. So no fight is need.

You can't have soft without the hard. Yes, you yield to the Yang but you must also have Yang. Without it you will always just be collapsing and yielding. To say it isn't meant to be the "hard" type of martial art is only partially correct.

Both the slow even practice and the fast practice with Fa Jin have benefit for me. It is interesting to me how many people develop strong opinions of what tai ji should look like and be that they are not open to exploring the many possibilities of this wonderful martial art. It can't be right because that's not how we do it in our form.

you are a student ( if that is even true ) what gives you the right to point him to his "faillures"? the last time i checked, student... did not mean master... also, if you are such a skilled tai chi student, why arent you a bit more specific about this mans flaws. my grandma practices tai chi too, but you dont hear me complaining about no "wobbling" stance, or hip engagement.

Excellent techniques and perfectly generated internal power. All the transition movements were flowing. Very nice! It's rare to see Yang style executed at speed.

Studied Taiji for 25 years? I hope you realised there's a difference between Taiji and Taichi. Taiji is the philisophical focus of cultivating one's body whilst Taichi is the actual formless movements of this powerful martial arts. e.g. Wuji. Taiji also focuses on this - which means without form. If it's without form, to someone who doesn't know martial arts it DOES appear as a dance. Therefore it's enough to show your lack of knowledge as you heavily critised this wuji taichi.
@Darkhisagi11 жыл бұрын
Tai Chi isn't meant to be a hard type of martial arts. It uses softness to defeat hardness, it doesn't require any form of structure as such as it's fluid movements are extremely adaptable. What you've learnt clearly isn't TaiChi as you're focusing on specific moves as laahchan1 had said.

Big Brother, I really like to listen to your sermons. I am from the Philippines. I can speak and write Mandarin, thats why I really like your sermons videos. I hope you will continue to speak in various churches around the world and have them posted here, in this way, we will be benefited even if we are so very far distanced from each other. Thank you very much Big brother, especially for your experiences with God. You are our inspiration and our role model. We want to be like you Brother.
