holidays in Amorgos ??? Hi, I've been a big fan of spearfishing for 35 years and I'm already thinking about organizing the next summer holidays 2025 July-August with my wife. I kindly ask you for information about the possibility of interesting fishing areas starting from land along the coast that can be reached by car; if the seabed is rocky and deep or shallow; if the climate in July and August is windy as I fear very high temperatures and absenceof wind. A thousand thanks P.s. Y love tranquility, uncrowded basso, rock coast (reachable by car) with deep seabed (not shallows) where you can fish along the landslide and on the walls . I accept suggestions from other sites with these characteristics . THANKS

Hello, July and August are hot and windy months. But you can find some areas with less wind. Sea gets deep after a few meters from the land/rocks. Seabed is rocky at the beginning. Most places are easily accessible by car, although you might have to walk 5 or 10 minutes in some cases. if you like tranquility, this is the place. As for the best spearfishing locations, I really don't know about that, sorry. You might want to look for online forums on the subject. Enjoy!

Let's say you'll stay in amorgos for 6 nights. I'd spend 3 nights in aegiali and 3 nights in katapola. If you want to spend a night in chora, spend only 2 nights in aegiali.

Nice video. Have been to about 5 Greek islands, hoping to go to Naxos and Corfu this or next year. That small airport reminds me of the one on Ko Samui, Thailand.

I'm surprised you're not mentioning Aphrodite Garden Restaurant as one of the places to eat, given they are the top restaurant for traditional greek food with an amazing atmosphere.

@@MarcTorbick Yeah it's pretty skewed, we noticed. A lot of people recommended Maritsa which turned out to not even be comparable to what you got to experience at Aphrodite. :)

hey! Glad you like it! There are taxis and buses. But you won't find them everywhere and whenever you want. If you really want to enjoy your trip, it's best to rent either a quad or a car. Note that some places of the island are super windy, therefore I'd recommend a small car rather than a quad.
