The Blues have such a good core of players to work with going forward because of the offer sheets. Dvorsky and Snuggerrud are perfectly positioned to come in and make an impact without having the weight of the world on their shoulders. If the Blues can make the playoffs and Binnington gets hot I could see them causing problems in the early rounds.

I believe Monty has been focusing on a strong defensive game first as that has to be the approach unless you're the Oilers in the 80's. The question will be, will the current Blues roster have the ability to score enough (given the defense continues to be strong) to make a run at the playoffs? I think if they are to make a run they may need to add a sniper.

We didn't hear Kane's name much either, except when Holloway beat him to the empty net. Talbot played very well. The rest of the Wings looked like they had already started their Holiday vacation.

I've told people before, but search for " St Louis Blues Sportsnet" they are the Canadian sports channel, they don't show the score in their replay videos and I think their replay videos are better.

@@nedeninja420f8 That's great if they are playing a team from the Eastern Conference but if it's the West, then the opponent will still get a point and by the end of the season, that point could either be good or bad. That's why wins in regulation are vital v. West.
