Good morning, Thanks for the note. If you have a BFT-150H 5.0 ft cut, no sir. The chassis/frame is different from the larger models. If you have a BFS-165 H , 5.5 ft cut; yes you could switch to a 7.0 ft cutter bar assy. However, the price will be $3k+ for a special part order. For the last 5 years we have used a 10 wheel Sitrex/NewHolland rake on Hybrid Bermuda on normal grow-Harvest cycles and low bale count J.D. Net Wrap balers......WE operate a re-baling operation supplying small squares to TSC, The Simpson round bale tables feed better with a constant unbroken layer of hay unrolling.... We have added hydraulic controls to slow down or speed up the mat of hay into the In-line small square baler...... Our last cut of 2023 we used a New Vari -Core Krone Baler with the Cam less pick up.... the area beneath where the pickup passed over was noticeably cleaner than the Wheel raked area on each side,,,, That observation led my Son to think even though it looks clean...... even that infantismal amount adds up! but then again this cut was thin and short, More observation is required, this coming season...... But should we buy a rotary... it will be a Krone

Hi "Old Farmer" , Thanks for the observations. I, too, am amazing with the old New Holland knotters. We sold them for many years and really appreciated the technician we had that could "time and tune" them as he said. We're selling lots of the mini-round balers all over the USA. Folks are saying they can buy a new baler that works with their little sub-compact or compact, a new rake, mower and tedder for far less than half the cost a the larger sizes the big hay farmers are using. And the little hay tools are paying for themselves right away if they have extra hay or pine straw bales to sell retail. Anyway.... I do hope you have a great spring and take care.
