That "they bore giants they were called the Nephilim" is circular since the word Nephilim was rendered as gigantes in the LXX and then as giants in some English versions. Thus, you are implying a usage of that English word to refer to unusual height but that is only the modern usage, that's not what it means in English Bible since, again, they are just rendering gigantes which only means earth-born. Also, it's not the case that "Israel is confronted with" having to "wipe out these giants" by which you mean Nephilim since they didn't make it past the flood: you are teaching people to believe an "evil report" by men whom God rebuked. Thus, Nephilim has nothing to do with Amorites--about whom Amos is clearly only telling us that they were big and strong.

Loved the service. Watched with our grandboys while we were in San Antone. Sounded like the local mockingbird loved the service too!

Mart was the roll call Sgt my first day on the street in Houston. His presence was such that I immediately admired and respected him. Fifteen years later he was instrumental in transferring me as an Investigator in the HPD "home invasion squad." Again he inspired me to do well on that squad. We made Houston a little better place to live as a result. I know he was READY for eternal life, and we will meet again!

Have you been to my house lately? I feel like you were talking about our dog. Our small dog has tons of energy and bounces all over our 80 pound old dog. 😂

Great job Bill. Daniel 8:1-14 is a Ram, A Goat and a Temple. Daniel 8:15-27 is Gabriel's interpretation of the dream and Daniel's reaction. Having prepared readers by describing four kingdoms twice (Dan. 2:14-45 and 7:1-27), this vision begins with only two kingdoms, the ones following Babylon. This sets the theme of the book. The Ram is Cyrus, the Persian and the Goat is Darius, the Mede. Beasts is the Hebrew word "Khay-vaw" and comes from the root word "Khah-ee", meaning LIVING (See. Gen. 1;27-28). Interesting enough the root word "Khah-yee" for "LIVING" is the root word for "HORN" ("Qua-ren") found eleven times in chapter 8. "Beast," "Living" and "Horn" are related words in Daniel 8. What Daniel 8 shows is Man who was made in the image of God to rule and reign over the living creatures has reversed in the roles. Instead of ruling and reigning over the living creatures, they have become the living creatures who are ruled and reigned over by someone else. They have reversed the image of God.
