It’s not shocking that the Asian restaurants are the cheapest because Asians will not eat there if it’s expensive and Asians support Asian businesses having Greek restaurants since 1972 in Vancouver I didn’t see a lot of Greeks in there eating in our places I praise the Asian community for supporting each other, and forcing them to have honest decent prices

I know A LOT of work goes into your videos, even your myriad of links in the description section is above and beyond. This video is no exception, that looked fantastic! Thank you for sharing your journeys and being so transparent with your costs, prices, and thumbs up (and occasional thumbs down) experiences. I have been binge watching your content since finding it a few weeks ago, and for me, your efforts are exceptional. I have never thought of the kind of life you two lead, with no fixed address, it's unusual and compelling for sure. I retired yrs ago but taking care of someone at the moment prevents me from this lifestyle (maybe one day, until then I'll live vicariously through yours!). Life is precious, and so are you two. I lived there for several years, never really had those problems, only went to certain restaurants and bars. I always wore a hat and sunglasses when I went to the street; that way the nobody will try to sell you one. I never tried to act like a tourist when I was there; they can see you coming from a mile away. I have family in Cartagena and I love it there.

How things have changed from 2020. These "cheap prices" are a but stiff compared to 2020. But I guess we have to roll with the times. This reminds me how little I get into Vancouver compared to the 1980s when I lived in the city of Vancouver. Now at the far east end of the GVRD, just short of Mission, going into Vancouver is now like being a tourist all over again. But I wrote down the names of all these places. Maybe I will go to one or two in a couple months when I get relatives from the states here for a week.

The Fairmont Royal York is definitely an incredible hotel, and we were thrilled to stay in a Gold Suite, even if it was for only one night! It's even impressive to just walk through the lobby. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it :)

We are staying at the Chalet Saudade next week and walking from there to Pena Palace. Can you recall how long it took you, which path you took, and how difficult the walk was? THANX for a great video - you clearly love pastries as much as I do...

We're not sure what path we took, but we just used Google Maps. It took us about 45 minutes in total to get right up to the palace, and it's uphill all the way. We love to walk, which is a good thing, because it helps to burn off some of the pastry calories lol. Thank you for watching, and we hope you have a great time in Sintra :)

That's great to hear that you will be retiring soon! We love travelling full time, although it may not be for everyone. We're back in Canada now for the summer and spending the time seeing family and friends. We haven't made plans yet for next winter, but hoping it will be somewhere warm lol. chinese food in Montreal are absolutely terrible - In Canada Vancouver has best, Toronto comes #2, Calgary#3, Edmonton / Montreal would be sharing the #4.

We were able to find some great food in Montreal's Chinatown! We've also enjoyed the food in the Chinatowns in Victoria, Vancouver and Toronto. We haven't tried Calgary or Edmonton yet, but hopefully we'll get a chance some time. Thanks for watching :)

We thought the price was fantastic and we loved the location in Finikia, which was a quaint and quiet village! We did see the donkeys passing by on the road, but we didn't go anywhere near the stairs where they are. Thanks for watching :)

I hate leaving negative feedback but am hoping to help your channel if you want it to grow. I think it is Tom(?) needs to stop with the eccentric speech patterns and just talk normal, it was very hard to get through but I wanted to see the recommendations. THERE is no NEED to talk in HIGHS AND…. lows. Some people MIGHT be REALLY turned off BY….. this. ALSO, there are VERY strange…. pauses…. 😂

Thanks for the video! We went to see the falls today. Parked on the other side of freeway, it was a quick 4-minute walk to the falls (didnt go through tunnel from other side). As it is May 2024, water was low and we were able to walk on the rocks up to the base of the falls. As you said, sooooooo pretty, sooooooo green, sooooooo tranquil, the whole event 🙂👍 Btw, nicely done video! ❤❤❤

@@TakeTimeToTravel I would say which I thought were cheap eats, but those places have all either closed down or raised their prices. So by that measure, there aren't many restaurants genuinely affordable any more. I am speaking as a person paying rent in Vancouver; most of my money goes straight to my landlord.

How do you get from the airport to the town safely?

When you are leaving the airport building, there are a lot of guys offering free rides to your hotel...just avoid them! They will take you for a long time-share presentation before taking you to your hotel. They can be aggressive too. Just continue outside and you can find the authorized taxi booth.
