My interest was because of a former neighbor who lived in Xenia in 1974 and was the first person to bring this devastating tornado to my attention many years later.

Ive grown up about a 100yds from fort ancient park which is another sacred place thats been overlooked for years . Iv heard recently the world heritage badge will be placed on the park. You hear about serpent mound over and over and over which is great but there alot more that deserve appreciation. The full history needs taught at the parks as well. They only tell what fits the archeology studied narrative. They leave out everything after the ancients were gone up till present day. THE WHOLE HISTORY needs told. Ohio indians dont recieve hardly any attention about the woodland tribes after the Hopewell and Adena. I know i ended up where ive grown up due to some bad people doin rotten things but i cant help that and have a deep attachment to my home and i want to know everything that came before not just the archaeological narrative. Theyre only making guesses at what was and how it was be it educated guess maybe but theres the people who were here before anyone in another state that im sure have ample oral histories that could educate everyone way better than just an educated guess

I am an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee, moved to Ohio, live close to the Serpent Mound, and there is a mound called cross mound, it has the four directions coming together and in the center where the four directions comes together and in the center there is a spot where the sick would go to pray. It has been used as a four wheeler ramp, they have tore it up, I started educating the locals as to what it is and they have been really excited to learn more and now try to keep people from tearing it up. I have had golf balls driven towards us when we have gone to the mound in Newark when I first moved here, they were trying to move the golf course onto the mound

I do want to say, my husband looks at me in a different way since we discovered this video. 3 of our passions:sensual music, prison cells, and old men. It's like we are teenagers again.
