For the underarm if you're performing your own waxing, could you split the hair and do the first half applying the wax toward the breast, then pulling/removing the wax toward the elbow and for the 2nd portion/and clean-up applying toward the elbow, removing/pulling wax toward the breast?

On an average size male back with hair on most of the shoulders and back how much wax is typically used? On Amazon they have 2.2lb packs of wax beads. Would that typically do one application, two, three? I know it will vary but just approximately how many full backs would 2.2lbs do? Thanks.

Our website also sells 2.2lbs of this wax on discount! We anticiapte between 2.2lbs-4.4lbs of wax for a full body. You can check out this formula here: www.hardwaxsolutions.com/hard-wax/168-polymer-blend-premium-luxury-hard-wax-beads-russian-pearl-22-lb-3527-oz.html

How long does the hair need to be to wax if you have been shaving?
@HardWaxSolutions2 жыл бұрын
The hair needs to be the size of a grain of rice, or 2 weeks POST shave :)

will the hairs come back thicker, darker, spiky????
@HardWaxSolutions2 жыл бұрын
The follicle is experiencing trauma every time it is removed from the follicle, which forces it to grow back thinner since it will now grow back as a baby hair. This will cause the hair to come back fine and thin, or not at all since constant trauma can kill the follicle!

What is the cornstarch powder used for? I seen it listed but didn’t see it used
@HardWaxSolutions2 жыл бұрын
Hey Kayla, great question many waxers use baby powder to absorb the natural oils of the skin before waxing, I choose to use cornstarch before waxing mainly because it is talc free. Applying this before the waxing process just helps the wax come off easier!

Does it gradually slow down hair growth?

Yes! Waxing will stunt and eliminate hair growth over time!

What about waxing your nose hair? How do you apply it inside the nasal cavity? And I often see professionals using a stick to attach to the wax. What kind of stick is that? Or can I use any kinds of wooden stick for the nasal cavity area?
@nailsbyevelyn212 жыл бұрын
I just use small wooden sticks for waxing and I put the hard wax on and put it in each nose hole and wait until it hardens and turn pull

About how much time does it take after you apply the wax for it to harden enough to pull it off? I often wait too long and the wax gets too stiff
@andreeavacarciuc20902 жыл бұрын
It depends on the wax,but try to tap it or dig a nail into it,if its gummy but a little bit hard you can pull it,just make sure that you are not pulling it too early

If I'm just and only ever waxing my wife can I double dip the stick??
@HardWaxSolutions2 жыл бұрын
We don't recommend it, as pin point bleeding can happen and breed bacteria into the pot. Sticks are cheap! and hard wax will eventually overwhelm the stick as you continue to re double dip.

does waxing reduce the appearance of keratosis pilaris? because i shave about everyday to every other day and it’s pretty noticeable even if i exfoliate.
@TalksalotOffical2 жыл бұрын
It actually does
@clareann89122 жыл бұрын
honestly, i also have kp and i dont notice much of a difference. find a kp body scrub, (first aid beauty’s is amazing, but pricey), they have ahas in them that chemically exfoliate to get rid of the keratin. ive also mixed dermalogica’s microfoliant mixed in with my sugar scrub and that works great too. i would also recommend finding a colloidal oatmeal body lotion to use after showering.

Isn't waxing over same area over and over more irritating?
@Sleaslug2 жыл бұрын
Up to 3 times you can go over the same area with hard wax
@clareann89122 жыл бұрын
ik this is old, but hard wax doesnt pull at the skin, so its not as irritating as soft wax. soft wax also removes your skin, so you dont want to do multiple passes with soft. you can also do hard first then clean up with soft wax
@Dani-fq3fb3 жыл бұрын
So with coarse facial hair, it's soft or hard wax appropriate?
@HardWaxSolutions3 жыл бұрын
We would always recommend Hypoallergenic hard wax for the face! Soft wax can be used for eyebrows but depending on the brand, may be too harsh for the rest of the face.

Doesn’t the hair on the lower arm grow sideways so you have to do tiger stripes? I’m confused because some people do tiger stripes and some do straight down.
