@@sr80bassguy Bummer, I figured they would have disclosed that to testers, and I don't mean that as a put down as much as a criticism of QSC as a company and nothing more. They themselves won't answer the question and even dealers shrug about it, too-- which is bizarre because the KLA/K/KW all had published specs including the boxes' crossover freq. I'm just going to rent one and hoist it up on a Klippel scanner lol.

Question, what made you choose the 108 vs the 112? Is there a clear difference?
@sr80bassguy
@sr80bassguy 9 ай бұрын
Great question. I was a part of the team that beta tested the LA108’s for over a year prior to their release. I knew exactly what those boxes could do in tough situations. I did mix on the LA112’s one time during testing. Both rigs were indoors. I found that the LA108’s sounded better naturally indoors which led me to the conclusion that if you are doing mostly indoor or a mix, the LA108’s are perfect. If you are strictly doing outdoor and want big more throw/beef/power, then go with the LA112’s.

I have had so many bad experiences with donner. There cheap pedals there pedal boards and link cables I hate them but I’m ready to get disappointed again with this one I’m going to order it u can’t turn down a $25 deal vs $60 current prices. Like u said I just need to hear something it doesn’t have be an excellent tube high quality sound it’s just to practice. I’ll never learn my lesson with donner buying crap at discount bargains I’m a sucker for it I guess

Hey man, If you have more videos with the 108's please post. I'm tossing up between 108's vs 112's. Sounds like you're getting amazing coverage with just the 108s!
@sr80bassguy
@sr80bassguy Жыл бұрын
In my experience with both, the 108 can do almost any job. The coverage is incomparable. The 12s I believe are if you’re doing a huge outdoor festival where you’re flying six or more boxes per side. Honestly, anything less than that and the eights can cover.
@jjax633
@jjax633 Жыл бұрын
@@sr80bassguy this is great info. Im currently using k12.2s and any coverage area beyond 50ft just sucks. Was thinking of 112s because long term wise, maybe ill do events with 1,000 people. Right now im around 300-500. With your 108s, you just run (2) boxes per side? Whats the coverage like 100ft away?

I ran an 1800-seat amphitheater over the weekend with two per side on sticks, 2 KS112 subs in middle and a CP12 center fill and it was plenty. If you fly these you’ll get even more coverage. The throw is ridiculous

I went into my local guitar shop recently and played the AG 700 through Aguilar cabs (light cabs), it is a BEAUTIFUL sounding amp, much better in my opinion than the Tone Hammer and THE best sounding bass amp I ever heard. However, I was using a Fender Jazz bass (4-string, passive) with no pedals plugged into the AG 700 and I noticed it cut-out frequently. All the videos I had seen on KZbin didn’t seem to do that. Any idea why it was cutting out when the gain knob was at 11:00 and every demonstration video I have watched on it is at or higher than 11 but I didn’t notice it cutting out. This is the only thing keeping me from purchasing it. If you know why and how it can be prevented let me know. The only thing I wasn’t aware of was whether I had the active or passive switch on, but I was playing through a passive bass. Thanks!
