See I kinda did the opposite. I moved on quickly and perfected what I was working on WHILE learning the next thing. Usually learning the next thing would make the last thing I learned make more sense. Learning that way actually made me learn incredibly fast where I can now play things that people who have been playing way longer than me can’t play. Plus it caused my knowledge of guitar in general to increase a lot too

Finally! I've just started 3 months ago and have a few people around me who can play (intermediates at best though) who all said exactly what was said in the video. I've played 1 song to chords level en went on to the next, while perfecting the first one. Works wonders!

Excellent point 👍🏼 mindset is so important to overcome the constant feeling of frustration as we level up we’re always “beginners” again. Keep enjoying the process to stay passionate 😇😍

If you can play melodic patterns on the scale shape that means you probably already have it memorised that's true. But its the root notes and octaves that should be practised over and over because this helps you understand the arpeggio shapes for major, minor and the other modes. You can learn the shapes quite fast but all the various route notes for all the modes on all those shapes takes much longer and is 100% worth practising! Especially in pentatonic and natural major/minor and their modes.

Thanks, clau! Never underestimate the power this kind of exercise can have. I was taught this years ago, and not by anyone famous, mind you. But it was so eye-opening. Just like this should be to others. Good stuff 🤘
