GPEG are grateful to Robert McDowall for his interest in their work but must point out that he is not a member of GPEG.

Michael James I am sure Alderney feels comforted by knowing Robert McDowall is steering Alderneys future in the Guernsey Gpeg group , the man that as head of the finance committee helped negotiate the FABlink wayleave at £70 K Per Annum for Alderney,( or £3.5 million over 50 years), and said 'it was a good deal', while his associates saved themselves £300 million according to this link on the House of commons website by coming via Alderney, rather than direct France/ Britain, the Memorandum submitted by Alderney Renewable Energy (ARE) in March 2011 when Robert McDowall according to his own admission and profiles was a financial advisor to ARE. publications.parliament.uk/.../1040/1040vw10.htm I quote " 3.2 Having justified a new link, Transmission Capital concluded that a France-Alderney-Britain link would be over £300million/GW cheaper than a direct France-Britain link, with a separate link to carry power from Alderney to Britain. Even if Alderney's renewable power can flow through France the France-Alderney-Britain project would still be £35million/GW cheaper than a France-Britain power link and separate Alderney-France cables.
