which plugin you use for nice stereo feeling for mono sound from hardware synth?
@iamgeorgesears3 жыл бұрын
Tbh, that stereo image is created by Minilogue's stereo delay. I don't remember exactly, but it was either it's stock ping pong delay or stock tape delay. Sometimes it's quite a challenge to put anything coming from Minilogue into stereo, because it lacks voice spread, that is present on Prologue. If you have some other HW synth, that lacks stereo delays, you can perhaps you stereo widener plugin in the DAW input channel, but watch out for phase cancellation issues.

@@iamgeorgesears Can you absolutely recommend the minilogue xd for production?

@@neveoney7865 If you're looking for true analogue sound and VCO oscilators, then yes. 4 voice polyphony, VCO oscilators for that price is still unmatched since it's release.

@@iamgeorgesears Do you find producing with vst faster and easier than with a hardware synth ? Although hardware offers much more possibilities ?
@iamgeorgesears3 жыл бұрын
@@neveoney7865 Working with HW is never gonna be more flexible or easier than SW. It is more fun (to me) but it is definitely not practical. As for possibilities - depends on what synth you buy.

I am losing my mind. I have an audio track with vocals. I’ve added Tal vocoder as an insert. I’ve created an instrument track, and chosen TAL as the instrument output. But when I press play, it’s still just my dry vocal sample I hear. What am I doing wrong? I follow all the steps you mention.

Do you think they'll ever do a revision of some sort, maybe with USB 2.0/3.0 ? The USB 1 interface is killing me and that was a very poor decision by Access back then. The amount of problems because of that would double down if they used at least USB 2 imo.
@leisureb3 жыл бұрын
@@iamgeorgesears I don't know man, I don't think so, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of lung left in the innovation of Access... Personally I don't use the USB thing at all though, I'm currently getting more and more into the "one take solves everything" vibe. I do save the patches an the MIDI after I've recorded the audio, but I rarely come back to it. Maybe you should take a look at the Waldorf Kyra ;)

I just bought a mini XD I can’t make no sense out of it LOL it’s way over my head man. I think The Presets on it sucks. I bought a Wavestate To go with it trying to get it all hooked up. Hopefully just got into synthesizer been playing piano mostly but I like orchestra so ill try my hand at Synthesizers.
@iamgeorgesears3 жыл бұрын
It all comes down to what you want from the synthesizer. If analog sounds are not your cup of tea, then not even the built in presets won't change your mind most likely. The third oscilator is great source of FM sounds and other expansions you upload to it, so that might sway you towards liking it. :) Wavestate is great, but a bit too pricey.
