AMAZING AND SO INTERESTING! Learning how to use the "Use as Environment" and "Use as Skybox" features in Spatial is both fun and important. It lets us create immersive, visually stunning virtual spaces, making our projects more engaging and dynamic. By mastering those tools, we can enhance user experiences, explore creative design possibilities, and apply those skills in fields like gaming and virtual reality. Plus, experimenting with models from Sketchfab makes the process exciting and full of potential! Love It!

This video is truly incredible, and the class is equally amazing. It's fun, unique, and incredibly engaging in every way. Watching it has sparked something in me-I want to be the person who shapes decisions, influences actions, and redefines history to create a story with a happy ending. I want to be the dreamer who has the power to change the world.

This video demonstrates how the power of stories in shaping people's views when paired with technologies such as artificial intelligence and multimedia production. While acknowledging the possibilities of technology to magnify human life, the speaker warns about its misuse, particularly in media narratives designed to exploit unawareness or manipulate emotions for profit. These narratives often paralyze audiences with fear or drive division, leveraging psychological techniques and dramatic effects to sustain profitability for select industries. @tculhane

This video is about using storytelling and creativity to make fundamental changes for a more sustainable future. The speaker is connecting the idea of "imagineering" by combining imagination with engineering to show how we can use technology and media to model better communities and environments. They talk about the role of movies, visuals, and storytelling in prompting how people think and act about big issues like climate change, pollution, and sustainability. The lessons described in the video teach students skills in digital storytelling and world-building, encouraging them to turn their ideas into actions. The video suggests that we have the tools and capabilities to bring about real-world change, starting with the visions we build in our minds. It also highlights the importance of digital storytelling and world-building as practical skills, which are essential for engaging others and creating real solutions to global challenges. @tculhane

Very good tutorial, teaching us step by step. FWC once promoted the use of circle hooks in bottom fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. In Tampa, we followed the captain to go deep sea fishing and they reminded tourists to use circle hooks and bottom fishing rigs to catch grouper. FWC can fully tell tourists how to use circle hooks and why to use them through 3D maps and world building adventures. This fish hook is more important for catch and release than J hooks.

This is a great solution for off-grid living and I plan to build a system like this to manage off-grid waste. However I must point out that in several of your examples you show biogas stored in bags in areas where if they were exposed to a source of ignition a serious fire or explosion could occur. I feel that unless someone is properly trained in how to store gas safely they should not attempt it without professional help. these gas bags are only safe if stored outside and away from any buildings and should be fenced off with warning signs like you would find at a gas station. People could be seriously injured or killed by the amount of gas these bags can hold. Never store these bags inside a building. You should note this in your video. Other than that this is really great technology that should be used more. I am working on a way to use the waste gas to heat the digestor to keep the bacteria happy in a cold climate and make the process more effective than a septic waste disposal system.

2:19 The real value often lies in the messages we share and the ideas we promote, rather than in financial gain. It's the way we inspire change, encourage personal growth, and influence others that has the most significant impact. While financial success has its place, it's the positive influence we have on those around us that can create lasting, meaningful change. I completely agree with this perspective. It's not always about what we gain financially, but about how we uplift and inspire others. The ability to share meaningful ideas and make a positive impact on the people around us is what truly leaves a legacy. This is what creates real, lasting change in the world.

1:10 I find this idea of avatars really fascinating too. It’s amazing how avatars give people the freedom to express parts of themselves they might not be able to show in real life. By customizing everything from skin color to clothes, avatars provide a unique form of self-expression, especially for those whose choices might be restricted by family or society. For kids, it’s a way to explore their identity and connect with others who might feel the same way. It’s like creating a space where they can be their true selves, even if reality doesn’t always allow for it. The concept of avatars creating an alternate universe for self-expression and escape is powerful, offering a sense of freedom and connection that can be hard to find elsewhere

2:10 You highlighted the idea of striving to be our best while respecting the boundaries set for us, drawing from Tears for Fears as a reference. You also pointed out that, even when we feel trapped, we can still support one another. This message reminds us that, even in difficult times, connection and mutual support can provide hope and light. I find this perspective really inspiring. It makes me realize that growth doesn’t always mean breaking away from limitations; sometimes, it’s about thriving within them. The idea that we can support one another, especially in tough times, really resonates with me. It’s a reminder that no matter the challenges we face, we don’t have to go through them alone.

1:29; The rebranding of The Matrix concept as a metaphor for expanding our minds is compelling. The red pill, originally a choice to see the truth, is now framed as an invitation to break free from limitations and embrace growth and transformation. This perspective positions the red pill as a symbol of empowerment, urging us to challenge our assumptions and push beyond our comfort zones. It encourages us to actively explore new possibilities and evolve our understanding. I find this interpretation inspiring. It motivates me to think critically about my own assumptions and consider how I can grow intellectually and personally. It’s a reminder that real growth often requires stepping out of what feels comfortable, and that embracing change can open up new opportunities for learning and self-discovery.

6:29 Technology addiction has grown stronger in people today, largely due to the powerful emotions evoked by media, such as music and cinematography. As you mentioned, these emotions create a lasting impact, making people more likely to keep watching. I remember recently feeling deeply moved after a beloved character died in a show. Over several seasons, I became emotionally attached to her, so when she passed away, it hit hard. The scene was incredibly emotional, with dimmed lights, sad music, and a slow-motion shot of her being wheeled down the hospital hallway. The combination of these elements made the moment even more intense, and it took me a few days to get over the sadness before I could continue watching the show.

3:05 The idea of imagineering is amazing! It’s all about blending creativity with technology to craft immersive and fun experiences, which is exactly what your class does. It reminds me of how theme parks and attractions are designed to feel both magical and real. By the way, it's so cool that your father is a screenwriter! The VR experience also brings to mind Inside Out, but with a focus on ideas rather than emotions.

1:37 I really like how you used Martin Luther King Jr's quote "There's either non-violence or non-existence." Therefore, you use sustainability concepts to better the world. You can't solve anything by using violence. You need to stand up for your rights, and use perseverance to get to where you want to be. You can't make an impact by sitting around doing nothing and not speaking for what you believe. But, you don't need to be rude about it, use violence, or hurt others in the process.

1:11 It's so interesting to think about how avatars allow us to portray things we like and care about that we may not be able to express otherwise. You can change anything on an avatar, skin color, hair, eyebrows, lips, eyes, and clothes. Some kids parents restrict them from wearing certain things, or do their hair a certain way, this allows them to be themselves, and connect with others who are doing the same. It creates an alternate universe where they can do what they may feel is impossible and just escape from reality.

1:24 Like you said, everyone has an idea of what a "perfect world" looks like. You may see a beautiful island and think that everything is perfect there and life is simple, but it's not. Natives of beautiful islands such as Barbados or Saint Lucia live in severe poverty. Yes the pictures look beautiful and when you're there on the beach, participating in fun activities it's great and you're happy but those that actually live there are struggling and you don't see that side of it. Just because the perfect world you may imagine sounds great, it isn't always great because there's issues everywhere, and your own personal issues follow you wherever you go.

4:08 I never thought about how games allow us to create different environments and realities that we could potentially actually create just like architects do. For example Minecraft, which was super popular when I was in elementary school created a platform where you could build anything you want. People got super creative with it, and I'm sure that some that were really creative became something along the lines of an architect. It's amazing to be able to use your imagination and see it come to life.

6:30 People are more and more addicted to technology today than they ever were. Like you mentioned, all of the music, and cinematography create emotions that affect us while watching and long after. People become addicted to watching because of the strong emotional feelings it makes us feel. I can remember a show I watched recently made me feel really emotional after one of the main characters died, it was in the 4th or 5th season so I grew an emotional attachment to her after watching the show for so long because I really liked her character. It sounds weird to say I had an emotional attachment to a character but it's true, and many people feel this way because of all of the strong emotions portrayed in shows. When she passed away in the show they dimmed the lights, and played sad music as her husband cried beside her hospital bed, then they showed them wheel her down the hallway past all of the nurses and doctors who were her friends in the hospital. This scene made the emotions 10 times stronger because of the dimmed lighting, sad music, and slow motion walk down the hallway while everyone was crying as they wheeled her down. It honestly took me a few days to not feel so upset by it anymore and be able to continue watching the show.

1:14 It's scary to see how certain areas of the world are representing a dystopian society. There is so much poverty, and homelessness, especially in city areas. I live near the city of Poughkeepsie, and if I drive through there it's so broken down, there's so much poverty, homelessness, crime, and old worn down houses in terrible living conditions. It's a terrible environment to be in. Driving through frightens me and gives me anxiety because of the unstable environment.

Just tried this out. I used a field to start off as my environment and used the cloud skybox. Luckily, I didn't have the issue of constant free fall and didn't have to delete my world. The world deletion process seems to be a pain, and they should do something to streamline that. One thing I did find is that my layout is a little different. Instead of having the taskbar at the bottom, it is all on the righthand side of the screen for me.
