I've been using Data Activator to pull data from an in-dashboard KPI for a month now. This is super simple to do now with Data Activator where previously this would require creating some code to mimic the KPI and run some type of store command in a database. This product does all of this for you. Bravo!

I would recommend putting the slide at 57:12 at the beginning of the presentation. Not being able to apply conditional formatting with calculation groups to more than one measure is a severe limitation. For instance, in a scenario where the user is using a parameter table to switch between different measures (that all utilize same calc group time intelligence functions) there’s no way to modify the conditional formatting for each individual measure?

Just watching this video and I have a question. I'm just learning how data engineering works so I have little knowledge. My question is the process of using notebook after uploading the file is it the same with just using dataflow gen 2 process? Because I'm like what's the difference btw those two processes? Thank you

horrible...i want to apply the conditional formatting for any measure i want...qty, sales, avg etc. You go through everything using selectedmeasure (making me think it is possible), but the pull it out and hard code it with [#avg...}

I've been dealing with a situation regarding PBIP file . I've generated my PBIP file based on my pbix report in my local machine then commit and push my repo to Azure devOps. Everything got pushed, proper dataset and report folder got generated, GITignore file too except the PBIP file generated locally from the pbix. IT looks like PBIP file is not systematically pushed. any thought or similar experience? if so is there any reason?

So If you are a data nalyst with very poor skills in UI/UX but want to get started with building my own dataviz, should I start to have a look on PlotlyJS or deneb? Whats better whats easier to learn practice and which one is more limited vs the other

If you want better UI/UX I would suggest studying some fundamentals of data viz, viz grammer and UI/dashboard design in general first and foremost. If what you really want is to bust out some custom visual asap for some corporate deliverable, then I would suggest you consider licensing terms & pricing. Deneb is the clear winner if you don't have leverage over IT approvals and requisition. Also, Deneb has the advantage of being part of the d3/Vega/vega-lite stack so it's a neat grammer to pick up that will translate well to notebooks and web outside of PowerBI (although plotly does a good job of this as well so I don't think it hurts to learn both from a python notebooks perspective).
