@@crock2434 it has trails in the sense that if you turn the effect off it will “trail” and fade however, if you’re switching reverb or delay algorithms there’s no spillover. It just cuts off.

Bias controls the symmetry of the clipping and the turn-on threshold of the second transistor in a fuzz circuit. The Kingsley Artisan has a similar setting. You can think of it as the snarl and "spittiness" control. Lower settings produce more distortion since the output signal looks less like the input signal since the middle of the waveform has the transistor "off". You can hear the point at which the control has the transistor on enough that it stops producing that a-harmonic spitty noise.

I’d love to if I could! I don’t have a deluxe and I’ve never played the deluxe so I can’t say for sure but based on controls I’d wager they’re very similar. They state with this newer version they went after their “large format” sound from their 2012 pedal so there maybe some differences there compared to the deluxe.

So how does the GFI Synesthesia compare to the H90 in terms of modulation sound quality? I know the pitch effects are much better on Eventide, what about the rest?
@ElyVaz_
@ElyVaz_ 2 ай бұрын
I think they’re both really good and you can’t go wrong either , it’ll just come down to the algos. For sure H90 for pitch effects. I think the rotary on the synethesia is a tad better but after that , everything else is pretty close for chorus, trem, vibrato, etc. I will say the H90 has more parameters to tweak so there’s more I can do with the algos.

One thing that's really cool is the pitch effects track so well, you can often times run other effects before them and they don't of get artifacts as much and instead wind up with some really cool results. Micropitch for example, stick a reverb before it etc.

@ElyVaz_
@ElyVaz_ 3 ай бұрын
There's quite a bit of parameters on each of these algos. Is there something specific you're looking for? I started with the cassette culture preset and the main tweaks I did was lower the compression setting to 4 and then brought the filter control up to -5 to give me some low end back. If I was setting it for a song I would also play with the W&F control to make sure it's not too much or too little for what the song calls for. On the sculpt algo I started with the little speaker preset and brought down the mix to 10.

I love your ambient tone where you can hear your guitar and the ambient sound behind it. Can you tell me how to get that sound with my Pod Go?
@ElyVaz_
@ElyVaz_ 4 ай бұрын
Thank you! The Pod Go has the same effects so definitely achievable! I think if you're going for an ambient tone like what I did here then you should play with the pre delay so that your guitar signal sits "on top" of the reverb rather than within it. The reverbs in the video has pre delay settings of 28ms for stage one, 49 ms for stage two and 104ms for stage three. My delay had a mix of 40%. Hopefully that helps!

This is great! Just a question: did you consider using snapshots and why do you prefer the tap/double tap/hold with a midi controller?
@ElyVaz_
@ElyVaz_ 4 ай бұрын
I haven't yet! ill probably experiment with them and see if I can make them work for me. Off the top of my head I believe the hx stomp only does 3 snapshots though. So in theory I could set song parts like intro (snapshot 1) , verse (snapshot 2) , etc. Personally, I do not like to be locked in set settings for songs. I much prefer to select in the moment cause I may not always want to play the parts the same. There's simply not enough snapshots to have every combination of drive, modulation, delay, and reverb, that I could want ready to go so having the midi controller set up this way makes it so I can always select and combine whatever I want for any song section. Maybe not as easy as setting up snapshots but that's just how my brain works!

I am DIGGING(!) your board! Many of the same pedals as me and I'm looking to integrate my PirateMIDI bridge6, just like you've done your morningstar. I have a similar size board with pedals that do the same kinda function as you. I'd say the thing that's different in soundscape is the microcosm and Friedman BE-0D for distortion and metal possibility. I'd be very interested in some help with my board. I'll list my pedals also with singnalchain: Xotic Wah->JHS FUZZ series 3->EHX pitchfork+->Strymon Compardre->Walrus Audio Warhorn/Ages combo->Xotic SL drive-> Friedman BE-OD->JHS Muffaletta->OBNE Reflector V3-> Walrus audio M1->Alexander pedals Rewind->Strymon Timeline->Strymon Big Sky-> Hologram Microcosm I'm thinking about replacing the two JHS fuzzes with the walrus audio eons and finding a smaller reverb than the big sky. Looking to integrate these pedals for the main big pedalboard with midi, and having a Nano+ og metro max size pedalboard for the small and easygoing rig Looking forward for you feedback
