@@BarronTube There are videos online about how to set up controller support for windows 11. It can be a little difficult but once you get it going you should be good to go.

Yes, if you install Windows, you’ll be able to play Battlefield, Apex, and other games that don’t work on SteamOS.

This looks like the most inconvenient way of playing bo6 just use the intended hardware instead of killing a game till the point it works on deck. No hate or anything by the way i love my steam deck. I can just accept there are some things it cant do well.

For someone that has owned every system since the system started backing the Atari and I do mean every system, including handheld what new handheld would you recommend today? I’ve never got much in the computers steam deck ROG etc.

I have both an Xbox Series X and a gaming laptop, but only the Steam Deck lets me play while lying down or take it anywhere. It’s all about personal choice.

Something like that. With Windows 11, I had a lot of issues-starting with it replacing Steam OS in the BIOS for dual boot, and ending with its refusal to install games from Game Pass. So, I installed Windows 10 instead, and it works perfectly.

Steam os doesn’t work on the game I want to play which basically only consist of call of duty. That’s the only game I wanna play on the handheld maybe destiny2 and need for speed. I consider myself an expert on most things every console most electronics but I know absolutely nothing about computer operating systems is it I’m stressed out on how to install windows on my steam deck when I get it to make it play the triple AAA game I wanna play.

Actually, there’s nothing difficult about it; there are detailed tutorial videos on KZbin. And even if you make a mistake, since it’s essentially a computer, you can easily restore the system or reinstall SteamOS. By the way, I recommend installing Windows 10, as I had an issue with Windows 11 that made me reinstall SteamOS.

Well, for that, you'll need to install Windows, as CoD won’t run on Steam OS. It’s not too hard if you follow online guides.

You can dual boot windows. You can’t run those games on steamOS but, windows is fine

The skill level of COD now is so high I actually enjoy playing on the Mobile app as there are so many bots and bad players I can actually have a K/D over 0.5. I've even got a nuke on the mobile its that easy.
