Every time I watch them, I feel as though a miracle is unfolding in front of my eyes. Perhaps this is how audiences felt at the Met when Corelli and Nilsson appeared together in Turandot!

You have to be specific about question number 2. Bach only got completely blind by the very end of his life, Beethoven had to suffer through decades of declining hearing until he lost it more or less completely about 4 years before he died. So I take going blind from cataract at old age. ;
@herrickinman9303 Жыл бұрын
"Blind like Bach"? Bach wasn't blind. He lived to be 65 and was only blind in the last few months of his life, due to a botched cataract surgery.

I agreed with most of your answers and I loved Arthur's response on home cooking - YES! 100% true - amazingly mature responses for ones so young - especially the cooking part - I learned that at a much later age.

These young men are gifted beyond my understanding. To memorize so much difficult music and execute it so perfectly just amazes me. Each of them has his own expansive repertoire of so much music that they've been studying since childhood; it's truly remarkable. They've developed their God- given gifts and generously share them with the rest of the world. I'm so grateful for that. Each of them seems to be very sweet-tempered and kind, with great senses of humor, too. (Based on interviews I've seen with them.) They also speak multiple languages fluently, which is brilliant. They truly are a gift to those of us who appreciate what they've accomplished. May they continue their musical endeavors for many more years to come.

My favorite piano duo. Their interpretation especially of French repertoire is exquisite. Such mature understanding of the music, flawless technique and nuances. I much prefer the Jussen's Poulenc to the Labeque sisters. Having performed much of the same material myself... I never get tired of hearing the Jussen brothers. And I admit I have a crush on Arthur.. Love the sexy Bowie hair.

What is fascinating is to look at the eyes of the boy on the right hand side. His brother on the left has his eyes mostly closed. But the boy on the right has eyes which are glazed and dreamlike. He only comes out of his reverie at the very end of the video when they both arrive back in the room. This is because these siblings are in a state of devine play. Some call it flow. Not only are they at the very top of their profession but their brotherly bond enables them to uniquely experience the Universe in all its beautiful majesty. Through playing music by the greatest architect of music who ever lived, and with perfect synchronisation. Very fortunate young men to share this unique experience that few of us will ever have. All power to these brothers.
