I wish it would come back. I was an English language student in Torquay in 1992 and they rented out the nightclub to the STS and EF language schools. Spend many evenings there, and a course mate's English boyfriend worked there, he worked for STS

I was a language student in Torquay in 1992 and we used to go here frequently. STS and EF language schools used this club as their disco. Wished I'd taken more pics. Is it still up n running?

Those were the days. Big up the monastery crew.

The year was '99, shirts were off, drugs were flowing, glowsticks were waving, people were dancing and the atmosphere was off the fucking wall, we can never go back but we can always remember!

I met my wife in the monastery 21 years ago, amazing memory's and were still together now with three children, thankyou monastery !

This place made me as a person, gave me confidence respect and a massive love of house Tim harrison the survivor !!

Used to work at the bowling alley next door. Finish work at 10pm. Straight into Claire's for a few hours. Hit the Monastry 12 till 8am then onto No.12 pub opposite the police station from 8am till midday.... great times. What a club

been to clubs all around the uk in the late 90s early 2000s. Gatecrasher was my favourite, but this was a very close second. Was amazing.
