I been saying this for years. But people still put degrees, status, looks, character, on a pedestal. If anything, the bible teaches us the one scrubbing toilets might be the one we should look to. The story of Gideon is my favorite. Though there are many other stories of the least likely character. The 12 apostles, and the social group mentioned often in the story of Jesus, were people with almost no social status, or most frowned upon. Then their is Paul's story. Held in high regard destroying the church, to be humbled into nothing, to turn and build it up. These lower lifes changed the world. I have gotten more understanding and wisdom, from random encounters with average people, than from those who have high regard.
