i love that video but you are lucky you didn't get caught by the police. i am also a drone fanatic but less than 5km from REK airport you could have been in deep deep trouble. they would have confiscated the drone and huge fine.. i am living in iceland for the last 2 years and it's why i really like all your videos... sad 2 of them have been blocked by stupid copyright.

I don’t eat bakery usually. During this special hike, I would eat their chocolate cake. Feed my brain with some glucose. Did you have a tour guide? It’s dangerous to hike alone.

Hi Fabian, I thoroughly enjoyed your EBC series of videos. Was thinking of doing this sometime next year if we recover from the pandemic. Just wondering, what kind of fitness level do I need to be at in order to do this hike all the way to EBC?
@fabiandoestravel3 жыл бұрын
I think reasonably fit I think you should be able to accomplish the trek. The things about high attitude trek is not about physical which you can train for it but rather physiological. It's how we as mortal being are accustomed to the amount of Oxygen in the air at sea level. So as we go up higher, we need to accustomed our body to a lower level of oxygen level. So people can get use it it quickly some bit slower some people never do. You cannot really train for things like this or get a medical cert for it. The only way to know it is to try it. Trek slowly as you go up and see how your body reacts. Bring an oximeter with you and check it often. If you are not feeling well, slow down. All the best to you adventure ! :)

Normal Google maps app. Route is well trekked. Shouldn't miss. If you find yourself without a path, you are probably off trek. 4G will be total lost after perhaps after Namche bazaar or little more if you are lucky .

I get the share transport in the city. Just hop on and wait for the mini bus to fill up. There's a coffee shop just a few metres from the minibus stop. I got my lunch there. it's local food.

One of the best and most detailed vlogs of the ebc out there!!! I really want to try the ebc solo, some advice? which camera you use?
@fabiandoestravel4 жыл бұрын
Thank you ! Hope it is useful reference for you. My advice to trek etc is to do it slowly, enjoy the scenery. DO not be pressure to make it to the next destination so you will not b affect be the infamous altitude sickness. Pack layers and a 0 degree sleeping bag. I travel in December . Bring cash , eat a lot, bring toilet paper. The camera with me was. Lumix G9 with the Leica 8-18mm lens. Good Luck !
