Jaap Haartsen's breakthrough - the invention of Bluetooth - has enabled billions of devices to talk to each other seamlessly. By introducing Bluetooth to the world, he did more than create a new wireless standard- he revolutionized the way we connect. His vision for uniting devices has shaped the Internet of Things and transformed daily tech. So who better to talk about the future of electronics technology than someone who has already had such a impact on its present form? Find out more about Top Tech Voices: bit.ly/411GyJt

my favourite weird application of Bluetooth/ wifi is triangulation just based on Rssi levels, its mind boggling what you can do just based on signal strength and a mac adress.

Could have used a resistor value. Being a noob, I am not even sure if there's a direction to connect the resistor. Might have also been helpful, if this was intended for noobs, to give an idea of the layout of the circuit board. I get the idea that the positive and negative strips are connected vertically. Should I assume all the center grid is connected horizontally? Maybe I missed some lessons?

The eFuse concept is an innovative new trend for protecting both the user and the hardware in high-power applications. Hope it helps!

Have you tried out any other multicomp pro power supply’s? Or the multicomp pro soldering stations?..

@@FarnellGlobal Well, I checked these 3 out, and searched all the title of all your videos. None of them give a review of the multicomp soldering stations. The first one shows very very basic items of tips and such. I am looking for a review of how it compares to say,, a Weller or Hako station The multicomps are about 1/2 the price of these other 2 true stations, so for someone looking to buy something decent, a true comparison review is useful. The multicomp power supply’s are given full in depth reviews by several people, who all seem to really like them. I’m looking at ordering a bench top power supply. Was originally looking into a Tenma, but the good reviews of the multicomp made me look into those. The multicomps are about 100 bucks more than the other power supplies I was researching, so if I can get the soldering station at half the price of the Weller, then that bonus can go towards the more expensive and better multicomp power supply.

@@kenjackson5938 That's really great feedback, we appreciate it! We'll pass this along and certainly keep it in mind for future reviews and content we create on our Multicomp products!

@@FarnellGlobal I have to thank you for the polite reply, and looking at adding more content. There have been times when I politely suggest something and they get all snotty and overly defensive. I’m looking at ordering the power supply and the soldering station either today or tomorrow.

Eben Upton is difficult to understand. He speaks with very changing speed, snuffs off words, swallows other words. Sounds as if what he wanted to say is actually quite important to get, so a new interview should be conducted with an Even Upton speaking half speed and maybe stand up, as it makes spoken words more clear. Very very interesting interview

most of the time i have seen people solder, they touch the component leg with the iron first, and then lead the solder in - you seem to be doing it the other way around?

Most exciting video. Will the new Raspberry Pi-5 go toe to toe with the Orange Pi-5? The OPi-5 works very well and is the typical Chinese Junk on support examples and documentation like making the GPIO PWM, I2C work in Thonny-Python without messing around. OPi.GPIO SUCKS!! 🥵 I love the Raspberry Pi family they just work. 🥳 Thank you Mr. Upton. 😎
