Do not buy from Highland Homes Edgewater (Webster, TX). The home we contracted was constructed with low quality framing craftsmanship, high cost for upgrades, and 24 inch doors used in bathrooms throughout the home. This is too small for elderly adults who use walkers or wheelchairs. We are currently working with a lawyer to recoup our earnest money and deposit money for upgrades. The builder got very nasty when we asked for documentation concerning windows (many appeared to have been repaired and sealed with silicone). The soil on the sides of the home did not dry out. The thermostat in the home was not able to be set below 72 degrees, which was odd. Not a good investment or value for a $500K+ home. Look elsewhere for more value.
