I simply don't get it - district budget is ~ $65M. Of that ~ 2/3rds is salaries, payroll taxes, benefits and contributions to state retirement fund. Easy to determine: spreadsheet by school with all teachers & staff, detail all salaries and components detailed above. Track that each month / quarter by school and add it all up. Takes care of $40-$45M of the annual budget. Another $10M is likely existing contracts for software, hardware purchases, etc. Again, track by school / district and detail all executed contracts. That leaves maybe $5-$10M in "discretionary" expenses that should already have budgeted line items. This is the stuff you really need to look at for variances - monthly/quarterly/annually and ASK QUESTIONS. I've been CFO of a national company where our margins were razor thin. Cranked out accurate and timely financials each month and sent an email to all of our offices throughout the country with questions re: budget vs actual. Not that hard. Seems I'm going to have to run for School Board ~ Capt. D, CPA

It seems it wasn’t long ago there was major miscommunication on the last referendum and people were shocked by how much their taxes increased beyond what they were told. I think it’s time to protect the elderly and fixed income homeowners in WI. I don’t know where all this money will come from and it is taxing people out of their homes not to mention increasing rent. In all my life it seems the amounts schools want is increasing exponentially to a mind boggling amount.

8:40 Opening statements 16:24 How long have you lived in Monona, and during that time what volunteer services have you been involved with that benefit others in Monona? 23:56 Please share your opinions regarding the city joining other Madison suburbs in the Madison Metro bus network. 31:54 Please provide your position on how you will balance priorities with financial discipline to make Monona economically sustainable. 38:48 In recent years, DEI has been a focus for the city. What is the city doing and is it enough or do you think more needs to be done? 45:10 What do you think about affordable workforce housing in Monona? How can Monona attract more affordable workforce housing? 52:21 A recent wage study shows that city salaries lag behind those in neighboring communities. What would you do to address this? 58:33 We often hear Monona described as a land-locked community. How does it affect how the city is run and what challenges does that create? 1:04:55 Regarding the San Damiano property: do you favor or oppose renovating the Frank Allis house? What do you believe needs to happen on the property? 1:12:15 How would you handle a vote if you believe that your opinion is at odds with the desires of your constituents? 1:18:26 How would you handle a vote on an issue if you believe that your constituents' desires may negatively impact a minority or marginalized community? 1:23:16 Do you believe that transparency is an issue for the city council? If you agree it is an issue (that the city council and the city is not as transparent as it should be) what would you do to address it? 1:31:54 As an alder, you would be expected to lead or serve on various city committees. What committees interest you and what would you like to see addressed by that committee? 1:40:34 As budgets get tighter for municipalities across the state budget cuts may need to be made. What cuts would you recommend and why? 1:47:33 How do you feel about Monona's bicycle infrastructure? Is it adequate or should it be improved? 1:55:10 Closing statements

I was in the Silver Connection WAY back in 1988 and 89 so this brings back awesome memories of high school show choir at MG. I will say that their level of production and execution, expecially in the choreography and dance, are in another league than what we had. It's a little hard to hear the vocals with the mic setup. But what I can hear sounds wonderful! Great outfits and show theme! Also, loving how you have a live band! And is this MG students?!?! Just, WOW. That is awesome. Great job Eagles!

Attatiana Jefferson got offed, because her door was open and the house was messy. So LEO assume a robbery was taking place. Kiante almost got offed, because the door was open and the house is in immaculate condition.....so the LEO said a robbery may be going on. ( confused me)

It just hit me. With tears of joy that Bryan is alive. And playing with great artistry. Years ago at a golk festival i was told he had died out in Oregon. Have most of his CD's and an autoharp gave up as no instruction around. Made little progress apart from background harmony. Moved to dulcimer. Now retired disabled in Fl, got my old harp out. Still in tune! Found in the miracle of youtube autoharp lessons. Tried again doing better. Then discovered this concert. Am so happy that this treasure of a man , musician, story teller goes on still. Made a wonderful day at 77.
