I got my BluRay from eBay so maybe look on there? The 4k is region free too cos it plays on my 4k BluRay player.

I'd get the original US Blu Ray or DVD but I'd avoid the UK DVD because of the distributor I do find it kinda annoying Warner Bros' distribution of the film not only because I like the transition of the Paramount mountain to the South Park mountain but also because Paramount has later distributed DVDs of the series in the UK and they've done other films similar to South Park such as Beavis and Butthead do America and Jackass the Movie and Paramount distributed Team America worldwide including the UK which is why the 4K version got a UK release why couldn't Paramount at least try to get full rights to the film? you know True Lies was originally distributed by 20th Century Fox in U.S., Canada, Italy and France and Universal Pictures worldwide when it was re-released on DVD in 2010 as well on Blu Ray in the UK 20th Century Fox distributed it instead seems Universal lost overseas rights to the film however I got the original 2010 DVD specifically because of the distributor it is the first film to use the 1994 version of the logo and in CGI which is kind of the reason I would get the U.S. release of South Park because it is also the first film to use the enhanced version of the logo from the 1986

Number 97 in IMDB's list. The acting in Ikiru was fairly awful, and quite a distraction from the story. Good to see the original, but I doubt I’ll watch it again (well, maybe with the commentary). 'Living' is a far easier watch, WAY better acting and the music washes over you. I get that the original was purposely bleak, and illustrates bureaucracy but, ooh, it’s a struggle to watch. Directed by Akira Kurosawa, a couple of years before Seven Samurai.

Think he's a director Harry is always talking about.

Well, it arrived today … and I’m chuffed to bits with it, excellent set. I thought the Blu Ray looked great, but this is even better. I went back to A24 website and ordered 'The Green Knight' 4K set from them, as I love that film also.

I don't know how the rating system works in Ireland. I'm only familiar with the UK and the US

@@moviemadman6884 the irish rating system are the blue octagon shaped versions of our ratings that often appear next to the bbfc rating on the disc

the theatrical ratings are different it's more simpler it's just colored circles and there are no outlines they have the exact same ratings as the BBFC's except for the G rating which is equivalent to our U rating they also have a 15A rating for cinema instead of just 15 both 15A and 12A were originally 12PG and 15PG until 2004 any film rated 15 on home video would get the 15PG or 15A rating in cinema until 2004 following the release of Bad Santa a new rating was introduced the 16 rating and it's a cinema only rating and films with this rating would get either a 15 or 18 rating on home video so you couldn't see it in cinema at 15 but you're still 15 and you can own it on home video or you're 16 or 17 and you were able to watch the film in cinema but can't own the DVD because it's an 18 pretty ridiculous

@@moviemadman6884 I like both I prefer South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut over The Simpsons Movie because it feels more like a movie The Simpsons movie feels like an elongated episode but The Simpsons movie is so nostalgic but I've only seen Beavis and Butthead once or twice two years ago so I don't know what to say of it but I enjoyed that as well

@@moviemadman6884 I've seen all of Sacha Baron Cohen's films based off his characters (Ali G, Borat, The Dictator, Grimsby) except for Bruno because it is an 18 the DVD I've got of Grimsby is a 15 and I don't understand why your Blu Ray is an 18 I like Sacha Baron Cohen in Hugo as well and King Julien but hell I haven't watched Madagascar in years

@@moviemadman6884 I watched that for the first time recently I love that movie it's one of the films that was mentioned at the Paramount studio tour the film is distributed by Paramount worldwide excluding a few countries one of them being UK I find that kind of stupid for some reason when it comes to Scorsese movies Paramount doesn't want to distribute the film in many markets outside the United States I've looked into his entire filmography on Wikipedia and Paramount has done most of his films and only two of them are distributed by Paramount worldwide including the UK those two being Shutter Island and Killers of the Flower Moon I find it more annoying that Paramount excluded UK distribution of Hugo because for a film that's distributed by one film company worldwide they might exclude a few countries in the Eurasian parts of the world but UK? that is a common key target for a major studio to distribute their film instead it's distributed by Entertainment Film Distributors the film company that is mostly famous for distributing New Line Cinema films in the UK until 2010 but I really don't understand why Paramount made this move I don't want to be too harsh on them but they are responsible for what market they decide to distribute their films in it's a similar situation to this film wolf of wall street but worse I think it's pointless to have no question about it Entertainment Film Distributors to distribute it instead I just hate than having a non-Paramount logo on the UK prints of Scorsese films like it's just not a Paramount film in the UK no question about it and google doesn't give me a reason for it it's stupid

There are boxsets that have them all in, but they're region locked and US only.

@@moviemadman6884 I might get more Blu Rays I found a hack to make DVD players region free (LGs only) and it only works on DVDs and not Blu Rays I decided to get a US copy of the original uncut version of Friday the 13th from 2009 I've asked my dad for a few US DVDs and decided about getting more Blu Rays and maybe 4Ks in the future because I found out more of them are region free or region locked in both A and B but what's annoying Is how on some 4K Blu Rays the 4K disc is region free but the second Blu Ray disc is region locked why can't both discs be the same?

@@moviemadman6884 I thought about getting the films in separate boxes excluding the sequels starting with Jason goes to Hell it would look weird having the first film by Warner and the sequels by Paramount the original has been re-rated 15 since a Park Circus re-release and there are no physical media releases that carry the new 15 rating but the one I'm getting doesn't have a BBFC rating on it at all because it's an American print though some of the sequels have been re-rated 15 before the original has and physical media releases and some of the sequels retain the 18 rating I might get these when I'm older

90% of 4k discs are region unlocked. The BluRays that come with them are locked to the region they're from cos they're BluRays, they're not going to change that.

@@moviemadman6884 I think it's a cool decision actually because I also found out the other Blu Ray releases of the film are region free guess they were aware that some fans were annoyed at the WB logo replacing the Paramount logo on the non-US versions of the film rather than having getting Warner involved they just decide to make the Blu Rays region free and hopefully this 4K version should replace all versions on Paramount+ anywhere where the film is available on the service the Paramount logo only appears on Paramount+ on the US the Warner Bros version strange enough is on Paramount+ in some other countries even where Paramount didn't distribute the film like Australia the film is on Paramount+ but it is stupid to use a film with a different logo on a streaming service that would be like if Paramount+ used Titanic with the 20th Century Fox logo at the beginning

Look for depth and density more so than the quality, blu rays are usually still very good but they lack that added depth that blu rays fail to provide. It's not always about the added resolution. The HDR isn't always appliedto some 4k discs as either the director or cinematographer can be concerned that the added changes in the colour timing that will deflect from the original intended look

It's definitely something I'm going to be paying more attention to.
