Some cool picks from 2004/05 Todd! Those Exodus albums are great, I just prefer Shovel headed kill machine over Tempo, but I like both (I like all Exodus albums though). The art of dying by Death Angel is another brilliant comeback album, it's got some cool tunes. That Obituary is pretty good too, some cool groovy Death Metal! 🤘🏻

Hi Todd!!! weel done and cool picks too..... i have not heard any of those two Exodus albums, i also think later Death Angel material has been really good too and hope they still together after the issues they had with Mark. From my collection, not that much, maybe Priest's "Angel of Retribution" and Bruce Dickinson's "Tyranny of Souls" and Death Theater "Octavarium".... cheers and be well

Hi Todd!!! I think my brother used to had some cassette singles, but i don't know were they are right now..... not one pressing i look after and yes to some people might be "expensive", but who in his right mind would spend a lot of cash for just one song...... it doesn't matter if it's a cassette or a 7" single. cheers and be well

I agree. Especially since you could buy the whole album for the same amount or even less. I don't understand it either. Singles with a B side that isn't on an album I get. I still wouldn't spend a lot on it.

Great cassette scores 🤘I might be the odd man out but I prefer Britny Fox over Cinderella by a little bit. Sounds like someone messaged your seller saying he was too cheap the first time, I hate that when that happens. Love/Hate has the most cringe song with Rock Queen but Winger gets close second
@ToddGuyTheThrashingZombie

Whatever. I don't buy physical media with the thought of "this might be worth something." I want to listen to the music the way I listened to it when I was a teenager. I wasn't a fan of cassette singles back then either. You bought an album based on the one song you heard on the radio or saw the video for on MTV and if the rest of the album sucked well you kept listening to it until you liked it or in my case see if somebody wanted to trade.

Nice haul, cassette tapes in general are very cheap in the US. I don't get the cringe thing about that Winger song. He is singing in the perspective of a 13/15 years old kid dating an older girl ("Daddy says she's too young but she's old enough for me") well, at least is the way I understood back then. Kip Winger is now 63 years old, so I hope he's not singing that song anymore lol
@ToddGuyTheThrashingZombie
@ToddGuyTheThrashingZombie Ай бұрын
More common cassettes are generally cheaper here in the states, but trying to buy original metal albums on cassettes is a whole different matter. I've seen people selling them for upwards of $60 depending on what it is. On the subject of Seventeen I always thought it was about an older(early to mid 20's) guy being with a teenager. Maybe I am wrong. I should do some research and see what I can find.

It happens man, we like music for different reasons on different phases of our lives, but our tastes may change as years goes by. Sometimes we end up giving another chance to things we don't listen anymore and it clicks again. A garage/yard sale sounds a good idea, make some money and buy some new record from a fresh new band. Ps: I wouldn't mind having those DP albums, although I already have them on cd's.

Very true. I used to love Crue. Now I just find them very cringe. I can't deny what they did for MTV and music at the time. Along with all those early bands. You live in South America don't you? I would be willing to send them to you, but I've never sent anything outside the U.S. I would have to find out how much shipping would be. Plus if I had to do anything with customs and whatnot.

@GustavoScafuro I'm still gonna have a yard sale, but if somebody from the VC wants some of my records I'd be willing to do that. At least that way I know they will be listened to and not flipped. I would be willing to sell them $25 for all except the beat up Machinehead which I was planning on keeping. Feel free to send me an email at [email protected] if you're interested. Most of them aren't in the greatest condition. They are listenable (no skips), but they have surface noise.

I know Gamma was the band Ronnie Montrose had after splitting that band, but never listen to them thou..... So true. I've done the record store selling. It's not worth it. They pay shit. It's like 50¢ on the dollar or something. I had a Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" I bought at a store for $25.99. I don't like it and brought it back with some other albums to sell. They gave me $5 for the Beach Boys. Went in the next week and they had it priced again at $25.99. So not worth it for me if I wanted to make as much as I can from them.

Well, I'm a huge and lifelong fan of Deep Purple (first heard some of their classic albums before I was even ten years old - one of my cousins had both their albums and several by Led Zeppelin, a band I didn't really discover until several years later, but Purple was an instant hit with me. :) Fabulous musicianship, great songwriting and an astonishing live band...I know I'm not alone in dubbing "Made in Japan" (1972) one of the greatest live albums of all time, and "In Concert 1970/72" (two shows recorded for the BBC in London and released nearly a decade later) is almost on a par. But yeah, I already have the Purple albums I want... :) As an aside, this story relates to a solo album by Paul Stanley, and it's from the Swedish jazz/rock drummer Måns Block answering a similar question: "Tell us about an album you regret buying" - he was probably really young when it happened: "My aunt gifted me the money to buy an LP album for my birthday. What an extreme luxury, I thought, I can have any album I WANT! I set off for the record shop where they had "The Elder" by Paul Stanley with a cool iron door on the front cover. A must-have. - It turned out to be a soundtrack, and I still can't grasp that Paul is such a wimpy singer. My heart was broken." 😍😄

Nice. I'm not saying Deep Purple is a bad band, but just not where my taste lies at the moment. In the last ten years I've gravitated toward more extreme metal. I don't change the station if a Deep Purple song comes on, I also don't think I want to listen to Deep Purple today. If I can sell them to somebody else who will enjoy them more than me that makes me happy. Kiss is another band I've lost interest in. I used to love them as a kid.
