First time I saw COLLAPSING on a big stage. Performance was excellent and clean. This is the full "Ascension" song, out recently as a single, along with "Break" & "Success or Failure" (both songs already featured on this channel)

Rainy day, dream away. An army of cigarbox guitars and bottlenecks, drums and some friends. It could have been a fabulous show, but sadly the heavy rain decided that it could only last 20 minutes before both the organizers and the musicians decided to save their stuff from drowning. As I arrived a bit late, I saw only 3 songs, this video features the last number played. I left by foot afterwards to go see LES DOIGTS DANS LA R'PRIZ at the Garrison Pub, which is not very far away from the Cryptoportique

Even if now Aymeric runs the band alone, what a pleasure to see LES DOIGTS DANS LA R'PRIZ again after a year and a half, and "at home", as the show took place right where my beloved AppArt Café was, now the Garrison Pub since 2021. Here's a brand new cover for the occasion, never played before (at least at the ~15 previous shows I saw the band live)

With a bunch of local friends, we were invited to record gang backing vocals for the chorus on the studio version of this track, available on their freshly out 3rd EP, called "Worms War". The job was to shout the title of the song. Recording was booked for 4 hours at La Cartonnerie. We did the thing in 30min and spent the remaining 3.5 hours drinking, smoking and chatting

I had the chance to see JOUR J MENTAL twice in 10 days, as they were also part of the Rock in Bourlon roster. This second show took place in a very tense atmosphere, both meteorologically and politically speaking. This music actually was the thing I needed in these particular days

Earlier in the evening, I saw Void with both his monitoring and his protective earplugs. And here comes another Fleshworm Pandemic featuring a member of INWARD, after Johan played guitar on the same song last year at the Outlanders M.C.

I came without any knowledge of the band, I received one of the best deathgrind shows I saw these last couple of years. Chirurgical drumming, emergency, powerful vocals

A very good and intense performance, mixing 90's "metallic hardcore" and modern melodic metalcore influences

And that's it. The festival was closed by YEAR OF THE LIGHT, which delivered a strikingly loud and apocalyptic wall of sound. What a great ending again to this edition of Rock in Bourlon, after ALUK TODOLO last year which was equally excellent

SLOMOSA unfortunately had plane troubles the day of the show and could not play their slot on the main stage before 1000MODS, so they decided to switch with HEALTHY LIVING, bringing their magnificent stoner rock to the Paon stage, as the headliner. We had the chance to see them in a more intimate atmosphere, and it was one of the best shows I ever attended. Benjamin, on guitar & vocals, is wearing the jacket of french football/soccer player Marcel Desailly, in the colors of France national team in 1998, the year they won their first world cup

The final headliner. Gave exactly the show I wanted to have : big sound, big riffs, big grooves. Even the songs from their last album (which is ... quite subpar) are rendering fine live

They should have headlined the Paon stage later in the evening, but SLOMOSA had trouble with their airplane being something like 10 hours late, so they switched slots, HEALTHY LIVING getting access to the Abreuvoir a few hours earlier. A very nice performance, quite atmospheric in the right sense

Following KANAAN was not an easy task. I had the chance to see them again in Reims this week, and in this different context I enjoyed the show far more, because this is very good post-punk / noise rock here

Arguably the best show of this whole edition of the festival. My phone fails to give justice to the marvelous sound we got for 50 minutes. This band is just beyond.

Sounded like post-punkized children music, interesting style. Their studio discography is very fun to listen to

First show of the day, first trip in the stratosphere. Very bass heavy, sometimes very hot, sometimes very cold, it mixes perfectly well the playstyles of both bands, taking from the psych/kraut/space rock of LASSOLAS and the synth/doom/black metal of DEÛLE. It happens that, beforehand, I saw both bands separately : LASSOLAS last year, and DEÛLE two days before, both on the Paon stage of Rock in Bourlon.

Cathartic end-of-the-day performance, which was only the 4th live show ever (and the first ever in France) of this emblematic post-black metal band. Both guitar players are basically the full line-up of black metal / neofolk band ISKANDR, which played the festival last year, with an acoustic set in the church of the village

This was very far from what I'm used to listen, but I surprisingly loved this solo electronic performance, which received a warm welcome as the closing act of the Paon stage on this day. Cheers to the security guy grooving on the front and merging very well with the atmosphere of the music

Same comment as DOOL : wasn't in the mood of merging with this kind of show. A mix of a lot of music styles, very atypical, but sadly not my taste
