I found a 11 day old baby dove yesterday that I'm hand feeding mashed up bananas with a little water luke warm but having a challenge. Is this the right way? What else do they eat?

Oh they are so tiny but active. Ours definitely is very calm and scared... Might have to bring him to vet.

They are blind at that age so you need to stick his beak in there you need to help him.

Wish I would have seen this yesterday. I took a baby to wildlife rehab today. They said they were probably going to have to tube feed it. It was only about two days old, but I kept it alive for 24 hours. I was proud of myself.❤

I brought some dove fantail hatching eggs of eBay and didn't realise they need this much care, though they could eat on their own like a quail chick. omg help

What kind of baby formula?

Well. a couple of things. First off, you're a compassionate and caring person, and I wanna thank you !! .If this works for you, fine but I'd be interested in knowing the final outcome. The corn meal is something I would NOT recommend as it has very little nutrients for developing doves, and these guys are very little. As the first Cuban American to ever hand raise a 4 day old Diamond Dove , AND the inventor of the "Zip lock, sandwich plastic bag feeding technique" , I can honestly say there are better techniques at hand, but enough about me. As far as feeding, you can try Kaytee exact baby bird formula, then as they get bigger you can mix in finch seed . If they were smaller, you can try Columbae, hand feeding pigeon crop feeding Milk. Thanks again.

I am working construction at a water treatment plant and the basins were empty all spring so a dove layed her nest in one of them when they filled it with water I came in the morning for work and her nest was gone and the eggs were floating so I scooped them out and took them home and put them in my chicken incubator one hatched yesterday the other I am kind of losing hope on
