If at first you don't put the chain on the smallest sprockets, front and rear, you're going to bend the chain tube and put a lot of stress on the rear derailleur.

Why do you have ads on your videos? I paid $4000 for a Catrike and no instructions were provided. So I have to watch ads to learn how to use it. Why?

i have a beautiful catrike rear hub, 7-8 gears. i wanted to upgrade my regular mtb rear wheel, but when i started tightening the spokes i realize, we have a problem. the hub only rotates one way. how do you balance such wheel? and then, is it a good idea to put it on a bike, or only a trike?
@brucewmclaughlin9072
@brucewmclaughlin9072 2 ай бұрын
Ok so you get the wheel off with your chain on smallest gear and when you put it on again adjust it so you are in your lowest gear on the back next to the spokes . Putting the wheel back on this way gets all that chain used up and is easier to put the back wheel on. If you suspect a pointy object has made it's home in your tire as it is flat , take wheel off and take tube and tire off in one piece. Pump up tube in tire .listen for leak and now there is no need to look as you will hear where the leak is, This saves on looking and running the finger around the inside of the tire and finding said pointy object with lacerations to finger?

This is my second Amazon kids tablet purchase. kzbin.infoUgkxAPUD3wGXVz7iwFny2pBBqGomYxe_7J6U I bought my son his first when he was one and now that he is almost three we just upgraded to this version a couple of months ago. I love that you can control the age content, block certain apps and videos, and free storage space with apps that haven’t been used in a while. This tablet has assisted my son’s learning in so many ways. We love it!

So interesting enough I have not found a single video on how to fold an ecat, but I noticed in the written directions the Bosch harness should be disconnected. Any way to get a video of this?

I specifically want a trike made in the USA. When I am finally able to afford a trike, and one for my wife, it will be a Catrike. I love the story of how you began.

This was wonderfully helpful, but I would add 2 more comments: 1) You have the trike mounted on a stand. Someone like myself without such a stand would have the trike on the floor. In that case it is very important to support the side of the trike where the wheel is being removed. Otherwise, as the wheel is being removed, the trike will collapse, pinching fingers. 2) On the Catrike 995 wheel, there is a metal disk which has to fit back into a slot (where the brake & gear cables go) in order to line up the axle again. That's the best I can describe it! Add those pointers and it will be a 5 star video! Thanks!

the 16 inch model looks nicer imo. but the 20 inch wheels create more recline. 25 degree vs 27. i have a 2015 700 and i love it. always creates a stir /bemusement when ever i ride it. so much fun

We needed to find an option to our upright ebikes when my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer the last week of 2020. She had lost significant muscle mass in January and February of this year and we were concerned with her ability to manage the weight of the upright ebike even though she is still a very strong woman, both physically and mentally. There were times during a two week stay in the hospital due to complications from radiation where she was not sure she would she would leave the hospital by the front door and one of the things that kept her going was the possibility of riding her upright bike. This was a safety concern for us. After watching an earlier assembly video from you and much research, it was clear that Catrike was THE choice for us. We got her a Dumont and myself a 559, both ecats, and her first ride was 8 miles........a couple of weeks ago we did 61 miles in two days on our local bike trail.......her doctor said she is heading towards full remission and credits her personal drive and inner strength along with riding her bike.....sometimes it "Is about the Bike"!

I bought a 5 5 9 at Erik's Bike Shop in MN last summer and have gone on many short rides, but I need to adjust the boom in by about an inch yet it will not budge (which has kept me from doing long rides). It's well out from the inner stop (several feet) so that's not it - is it possible that Erik's inserted the plastic spacer incorrectly and that is preventing the boom from sliding? Thanks for any info - they are supposedly a pro shop, yet they sold it to me clearly without even having done a test ride, as the front derailleur won't change from the center ring - I'll have to adjust that later but hopefully bringing the boom in an inch will give the chain enough slack to shift (up front) without any other changes. I may go eCat later, but for now at least getting boom length right and 30 (vs 10) speeds is my goal. :D
