@@JagMan78 it’s technically not from any album, but on a rare compilation album, titled The Best Of Chris Rea, from 1998. Yes, there are two compilation albums with the same name.

* years ago I was listening to this song, dreaming about having better life situation and the possibility of buying music equipment, not only food and shelter without any qualifications to have better job position and I was dreaming about buying the electric guitar and playing it, I earnt 900 pln and 400 pln per month. I was as poor as it can be as the clarinetist. But I felt deeply this song, I had problems with one injury and I couldn't have any physical job, but I haven't had any other qualifications - the injury done when I earnt money for my guitar. When I first heard Chris I went down to my local record store and asked for the new Leonard Cohen record and when there wasn't one I said are you sure I just heard it on the radio it's gotta be coming out oretty soon and they were like nope, and I said I heard this song called Texas and I'm certain it's one of his, imagine my surprise

​@@juliobl74Hola, @juliobl74 - Debo confesar con vergüenza que recién hoy, 28 de octubre de 2024, me encontré con este álbum e inmediatamente, después de los primeros sonidos, caí en un verdadero deleite. El primer tema me impresionó especialmente. En mi opinión, este es uno de los muchos álbumes bien elaborados de Chris Rea. Pero esta es mi opinión, a la que tengo derecho ;). Saludos cordiales y les deseo gratas experiencias estéticas escuchando estas canciones.👍🌞☮
