I cant imagine what felt the original composer after finishing this piece and listening to it for the first time, but must've been like an epiphany!

This arrangement is very very piano. For several reasons. I love it. Can’t be played solo on most other instruments because of how frequently 6 or more keys are being played simultaneously as well as the distance away from each other they get. Then there’s the piano and the forte which invalidates harpsichord and clavichord and other key instruments. The arrangement truly uses all the pianoforte’s* strengths and attributes to make an excellent cover. It’s very often for other piano arrangements that they wont take advantage of all these things. * Pianoforte is the technical term. Piano is slang for the pianoforte. It’s called this because of why it was made to begin with. The Clavichord is its grand daddy and is actually more expressive and nuanced than the piano. The clavichord’s main feature is pitching a note up or down to play outside the 12 notes established in a western scale by shifting the keys left or right. Similar to doing the same on a guitar. Its main issue was it was very quiet and only suitable for small rooms of very rich people to listen to it being played (personally, I think now a days the pitching feature should be added to electric keyboards, or just put an amp on a clavichord and it’s a piano, but better). So, the harpsichord was built. But each key press is always loud. But a full auditorium can hear it instead of just a small room. So, Clavichord is basically a piano and Harpsichord is a Forte. The piano is designed to have the best of both worlds. It can be as loud as a harpsichord and its volume control gives it the expression of pitch control (kinda). It’s just as nuanced as a lot of other instruments with great pitch control like violin. It’s just doing this with volume. Anyway piano = quiet and forte = loud and that’s why it’s called piano forte. Also great arrangement.

I have learned this song! It’s very possible. If you’re patient and trust the process you can learn this song too. I bought the sheet music (show support and best way to learn in my opinion) and play at a pace that is challenging enough for you to get better but not so challenging you quit. And trust the process. I was stuck on page 4 for about a month but it’s part of the process and if you keep practicing 103 beats per minute will eventually seem slow. Give it a shot if you’re thinking about learning. You’ll be surprised with your own skills !
