Ps - you do what I do when I'm going for a gybe superpowered...fear makes me hang back and pull the sail in towards me which kills it and sinks the tail. Try dropping low below the boom with long arms as you enter and stay low .+1 for Cookie ride along sessions on KZbin.. TOW is everything ..but you need wind..we have stuff all wind atm ( winter)

100% for persistence. I hate falling in ! I'm thinking about trying winging so I don't know how that's going to work. I'll be falling in a lot then. Learn the gybe in subplaning conditions first. You may have to exit clew first until you have enough 'movement/speed ' to feel a little bit stable and choose a moment to flip. Also do dryland gybe practise to get the feet and rig flip down. A few things less to think about once you are going faster. I'm still working on my gybes after 30 years. I think I've given up on getting a planing gybe in chop and decided I'll be happy if it's dry. Why are you getting onto the wingboard from the front? I am thinking of giving it a go. Any videos I've seen you get on from the side.

Dude: If you are using Premiere, just select both tracks and select CLIP -> SYNCHRONIZE and it will auto-synchronize the audio. Then link the tracks together so that all future edits remain synchronized. If you aren't using Premiere, any serious video editor will have this feature though it is likely called something else. • Final Cut Pro (Apple): Feature: Automatic Audio Sync Uses waveform matching to synchronize audio and video clips. • DaVinci Resolve (Blackmagic Design): Feature: Auto-Sync Audio You can sync based on waveform, timecode, or in/out points. • Avid Media Composer: Feature: AutoSync Allows syncing based on timecode, auxiliary timecode, or waveform analysis. • Sony Vegas Pro: Feature: Synchronize Audio to Video Offers synchronization through audio waveforms. • HitFilm Pro: Feature: Sync Audio Syncs audio and video using waveform matching. These tools streamline the editing process, ensuring that your audio and video are perfectly aligned without the need for manual adjustments.

@TillLernt all good Till. I salute you regardless because I'm still on the journey as you were. I just thought you did the real power jibe because I knew you struggled with the normal one. So I was in shock 😲 Now im just wondering was it a lucky jibe or you can do it now almost everytime?

I started 3 years (this is my 3th season) ago and now but I only surf from May to Oktober. I think I have 50 hours of surfing expierence. Have planed many times but the harness is still a bit of a scary thing to me 🤣Your eureka moment with the underpowered sail and the surf teacher was for me a eye opener too..
@ScrattleGG6 ай бұрын
Try to step more forward when jibing, and then slide your hand forward on the boom. Your front hand is way too far backwards so when you release the sail it doesnt swivel around the mast it swivels around your hand not allowing it to jibe easily. Right now you're doing an extra grab with your backhand in front of your front hand on the same side of the boom as your entry tack -- it is too slow - it helps immensely with balance to get the sail flipped as you can let the wind on the new tack catch you instead of trying to balance at all -- my balance is shit, but with wind in the sail you cannot fall backwards

Thanks for the advice! Guess I just have to practice this over and over again

As both a windsurfer and cellist I very much appreciated your intro (and outro)!!! Your humor is the cherry on top! (Not sure how much "power" was in your jibe though 😂). Keep making these videos please!
