What about using the "convert to solids" in Sep Studio? Wouldn't that produce clean solid spot colors from raster files? I ask because the live trace functionality in Illustrator just isn't very good as there is a degradation of quality 99% of the time. You can always "create work paths" in Photoshop and then export "workpaths to Illustrator", which is a far better method to convert raster to vector, but still expect some loss of quality. It is minimal loss, but still some loss. Can you speak to how the "convert to solids" function works in SS? Thank you!

Often my artwork has both vector and raster elements building up the art. I’d prefer not to flatten the whole image and import as a .png is there a way to open files that are built of both raster and vector elements?

Pardon my dumb, but why not rotate that particular piece of art 45 degrees so it is still more efficient? Aside, do you have a product for nesting simple photo prints automatically following the size in the metadata, without having to waste time laying out cells or similar tasks?

For Emerald, how do you adjust for dot gain? The older versions of AccuRip were pretty simple. It looked like a Photoshop curves section. For Emerald, I can't even locate it.

It should work with any piezo-electric print head. Just depends on if you can gain access to it or even put a paper town underneath it.

Hi Hellen, Dmax Dye Ink is for direct to inkjet and bubblejet printers for printing beautiful, dark films. Dmax goes in the printer not on the shirt so it is not for direct to garment printing.
