Sex is not just with the body and is a deep experience that affects the soul (which I agree with). But based on "Paul's rules" as you put it, a wife's duty is to her husband and her body is not her own. While I appreciate the reasoning behind marrying to avoid sexual immorality, I don't think this is the only rule. There are many others that are unspoken in this context because he was talking about single people being immoral and addressing that issue. But within the marriage, there are many other facets that are not addressed in these passages. I can't see how the Lord would be happy if a woman unwillingly gave her body over to her husband (a deep experience that affects her soul) if her husband was indifferent to her needs and feelings. We need to tread lightly in these discussions because it could lead people to allow themselves to be abused because of religious guilt.

I think self control for many things will be a big issue in these last days. I know that I don't have that fruit right now. Praying for change in that area.

I appreciate this message Pastor Ricardo! I think it is important to remember that some people struggle with overcoming their brokenness...and as such, have a hard time loving others, loving themselves and keep falling into sin. Hurt People hurt People. I beg those who keep falling into the same trap/sin, get help to overcome your battles. To be weak is to be strong. Once we admit and confront our weaknesses, we have the ability to repent and be transformed. Seek help from a professional and keep reading the Word and being prayerful. The Lord is faithful to transform us if we take the time to do these things. Stop suffering from things that God wants to give us the victory over! As soon as we can heal our brokenness, we can love others like Jesus intended. We can't help others if we can't help ourselves.

Some people have dreams and ambitions who wants to just be some shepherd of Christ's sheep, bluh. I say who wants to be distracted by the riches of this world when the National Sunday law is ever closer and all the world religions and most world powers are getting on board the green law, mandatory day of rest to save the environment. Wouldn't that money be better spent broadcasting the three angels message? Imagine a world without social media, the internet, Playstations is a world where God's church wouldn't be distracted and would instead be using that time with him! Am I really hearing this??? And why hold up DeVon Franklin as an inspiration. Movies like Heaven is for Real and Miracles from Heaven are not Biblical and are pure spiritualism. These movies promote the immortality of the soul, a doctrine that we know will lead millions of souls to eternal death in these last days. Why would an Adventist pastor have anything to do with promoting one of the first lies of Satan in the garden, you shall not surely die?! This is a thinly veiled prosperity gospel. Sounds "okay?" taken at surface but really listen to what's being said, and what is not! Where is the cross? Jesus did not die for us to pursue our dreams, he died to save us for our sins. Any dream or goal, if truly given by God, will only lift up Jesus and the Truth and call the world to repent and true worship. How dare diminish the role of "just a shepherd" of some little flock. And why on earth would someone who loves the Lord want to quote someone like John Lennon who spent his life dedicated to leading people away from Jesus? Do we honor our savior by lifting up a staunch enemy of the cross like that? How must that appear to non believers, confusing to say the least. Dreams are for those sleeping, it is time to awake! The bridegroom cometh! This message is sad, and scary if anyone should take it to heart. We are to pursue Jesus!

I'm curious to know the 3 other steps out of disbelief/depression. The first 2 are spot on! One for me that I know 100% is finally coming to the place where you can give it all to God and obey His commands and making the choice to follow Him no matter what others were doing (and not listening to others who discouraged my faith). Once I did that, my depression left me.

This is not to agree or disagree with the sermon, but an excerpt from the book, 'When Sorry Isn't Enough' to add to the topic on Forgiveness:
@lori-annmacdonald50165 жыл бұрын
Can you forgive without an apology? genuine forgiveness and reconciliation are two person transactions that are enabled by apologies. Some, particularly within the Christian worldview, have taught forgiveness without an apology. They often quote the words of Jesus, "if you do not forgive men for their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses." Thus they say to the wife whose husband has been unfaithful and continues in his adulterous affair,"you must forgive him, or God will not forgive you." such an interpretation of Jesus's teachings fails to reckon with the rest of the scriptural teachings on forgiveness. The Christian is instructed to forgive others in the same manner that God forgives us. how does God forgive us? The scriptures say that if we confess our sins, God will forgive our sins. Nothing in the old or new testament indicates that God forgives the sins of people who do not confess and repent of their sins. when a pastor encourages a wife to forgive her airing husband while he still continues in his wrongdoing, the minister is requiring of the wife something that God himself does not do. Jesus's teaching is that we are to always be willing to forgive, as God is always willing to forgive, to those who repent. some will object to this idea, indicating that Jesus forgave those who were killing him. But that is not what the scriptures say. Rather, Jesus prayed,"father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Jesus Express his heart of compassion and his desire to see his murderers forgiven. That should be our desire and our prayer. But their forgiveness came later when they acknowledged that they had indeed killed the son of God. forgiveness without an apology is often encouraged for the benefit of the forgiver rather than the benefit of the offender. Such forgiveness does not lead to reconciliation. When there is no apology, the Christian is encouraged to release the person to God for justice and to release once anger to God through forbearance. Dietrich Bonhoeffer,the great theologian who is murdered by the Nazis in a concentration camp in 1945, argued against the"preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance.." he refer to such forgiveness as"cheap Grace... which amounts to the justification of sin without the justification of the repentant sinner." genuine forgiveness removes the barrier that was created by the offense and opens the door to restoring trust overtime if the relationship was warm and intimate before the offense, it can become loving again. if the relationship was simply one of casual acquaintance, it may grow to a deeper level through the dynamic process of forgiveness.

I'm only telling you what Paul said that Men should not cover their heads in worship for God is the HEAD so you can disagree with Paul. .. I know we have to obey the Bible to the letter if you don't agree do whatever pleases you.

Joseph Essilfie I’m only saying we cannot build a doctrine off one text in the bible and condemn others for what they do. Paul was speaking about men as well as women out of custom of the day. Yes it’s not done also in Christian churches today but it’s not a sin. If you read the text you’ll notice that he speaks of women also covering their heads and not having short hair. Further he also speaks of women not speaking in church. 1 Cor 14.

@@orvillem Please don't let us make this a point of contention,if you think it's okay do it but I wouldn't do it myself. Moreover we can't say that's those people's costom and not hours. Thank you.

I love how the Pastor is speaking to each church member, not just a group...asking people to be brave and to stand up for prayer, so that members can be vulnerable with each other - this is how close relationships begin. ❤ ...First and foremost, tell your daughters that they are compassionate and smart. A beautiful woman shines from a loving heart. 😉

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Peter 1:21 - For Prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but Holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Psalms 119:105 - Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Romans 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. .

Hi, A few weeks ago, I watched your program on television hearing you saying that the wise men were from Persia or Babylon. I believe that is wrong because wisdom and Revelation on the spirit were traditionally from Southern Caucasus that used be called "Caus" (later, "Taver" equivalent to Tower in English or Tabarestan in Persian). It is a small region South of the Caspian Sea but long from West to East. Unlike Persians, Causians are Caucasian and look like Armenians. But, by genocide and war, "Caus" and the Western Caucasus were occupied by Persia (today's Iran) about 420 years ago and became part of Iranian territories until Russia took the Western Caucasus from Iran based on a treaty called Turkmenchay after winning the war with Iran in 1928. However, "Caus" remained occupied by Iran because it was not part of that treaty. And, now, its population is a very multicultural and its people in minority. Unlike Persians, Causians used to be Christian, not Zorosastrian, but Iranians made them to gradually convert to Islam. Finally, about 190 years ago, all Causians became Muslim.
