Can relate to your fustration I have a broken Leg! You mentioned creating a virtual copy of the image so you can edited...I am very novice in light rooom. How did you do this?
@JohnyJSpencer4 күн бұрын
Oh no that’s terrible hope it heals fast, if you right click a photo in LR and select from the menu create virtual copy this just creates a copy of the photo in the LR catalog that you can edit separately and no take up anymore hard drive space. This is a great question for my new live stream show answering photography related question call it Ask Johny-J askjohnyj.com keep an eye out on my feed hope to do the first show this week. Thanks for your question

Sorry to hear about your mom. We had to move my wife's mother to a home just over a year ago due to dementia. I know how you are feeling. We have about 30 pictures in her room of her life and places she loved. It is very hard to watch what this terrible disease does to a person. So, beyond that I actually like the strong highlights in this image, it gives it a warmth and a look of realism. It should help keep some of those good memories inside, so they do not fade as fast. Keep up the spirits and the good videos coming.

Thank you buddy really appreciate your kind words. I agree it’s really tuff to watch someone go through the stages of this illness. Wishing you and your wife the strength to keep pushing on. 🙏🏽

Your Mum will really enjoy having this photo in her room Johny. Your video gave me some new ideas on how to incorporate several photos I have and bring them together as one. Thanks for reminding us all that photography should be enjoyed and shared!

Hope all goes well for you. Nice to hear someone talk about what photography is about. A photograph is a snapshot of time something that may not happen again and not about ultimate pin sharp etc. At 73 I am of on a Kenyan safari in September and my photographs will not be about perfection but about what I remember. Say hi to your mum from England.
@JohnyJSpencer12 күн бұрын
Thank you 🙏🏽totally agree with you, enjoy your safari can I come and carry your bags haha. Your right it’s all about the memories and experiences the photos are just a bonus. 😀

Such a great looking jetty. Sorry to hear about your Mum. My Dad is in the same boat, some days he doesn't even know who I am and talks to me about me. It's a heartbreaking thing to watch. Gorgeous final image, hope it brings much joy for your Mum.

Terrific video tutorial, as always. You sure got those heads to pop nicely. Your Mum will love the photo. Really sorry to hear about her dementia. It’s so hard on you & the family. If she doesn’t recognise the location, I’m sure she will be drawn to it naturally by memories she just can’t put her finger on. I have a girlfriend whose Mum is in the same boat. As long as they are happy in their own world, that’s what counts. Keep smiling, you are an awesome son. 🙏🏻💜

Hi, what about organising your ideas and steps before recording the video? It would help your viewers follow your VERY USEFUL INSTRUCTIONS and, as @davidmarcovitz5450 said, "keep up with the magic".

Another brilliant vid. We were out and about a little while ago and I had no choice but to take my photos in harsh light. Not the best but had to capture the memories none the less. Anyway, as water was involved, I used a polariser and was amazed at the difference it made ... from an over blown shot to nice green water.
@JohnyJSpencerАй бұрын
Hey thanks appreciate it, polarisers are amazing what they can do to a scene especially waterfalls a must carry filter at all time I reckon. Thanks again for watching 🙏🏽
@murlidhrАй бұрын
i think the balance isn't upto the mark in the picture that has ferns. both the waterfall n ferns were facing in one direction. had they been in opposite direction i think the balance would have been better. anyways nice picture 👍
@JohnyJSpencerАй бұрын
Thanks for you feedback mate I agree that would of made for nice harmony between the two elements but I do particular like the direct of the ferns pushing you towards the main subject being the waterfall. 🤟🏽

Awesome spot you found there Johny. I too love the cascades of the falls. Trust you to find the most awkward spot to photograph from. LOL. I liked your choice of composition. I also liked the close up you didn’t in the video intro of the falls & pebbles in the water. Thanks for another epic video tutorial. Have a great week. Cheers, N.

why would i want a photo of some rocks in a saucer of milk, the sea is never still why stop it
@JohnyJSpencer2 ай бұрын
It’s a creative choice to use long exposures and something depending on the elements in your frame you want to simplify things by smoothing out the water to bring attention to those elements remember when it comes to composition generally keeping it simple and clean will always give your stronger comps.

Great scooter ride, I would have fallen off a few times before getting my balance right. I like the final image of the blended in milky way. Question about mirroring the sky to get the reflection right, do you mirror from the center of the image, where you think the horizon is, or just where you feel the correct place to do it from? And do different compositions change where you would flip the sky?
@JohnyJSpencer2 ай бұрын
With this one I just free transformed the sky with the overlay blend mode then then used distort o get it right then added a mask and brushed away the reflection from everywhere except the water. Yes was a fun scooter ride had a few close class with that heavy camera bag on thanks for the question 🙏🏽
@davidmarcovitz54502 ай бұрын
Fantastic Johny, really enjoyed the edit walk through and the image looks great after. I would like to hear a bit more on reflections and keeping everything looking right with relation to the brightness adjustments with the sky, and/or the objects reflected. No pressure!!!📷

I am so glad that we got to see that beach on your video as I can guarantee you that I won't be visiting ... spiders are a species that I just can't get along with. Little beggars freak me out. I love that last photo. Looks great warmed up. I am alway too afraid to play with colour.
