I found your work by sheer happenstance trying to surmise what happened on my local beach…of course I fell in absolute admiration of your meticulous work and sought out your process. Not that I could EVER…but I had so many questions about the methodology! So grateful to discover this video, even more enthralled by the beautiful music of Andrew Bird 🙏🏻 I love his work too! Birds of a feather :) Thank you Chris, for what you do!

Amazing message and work, Chris. I live on a farm which includes 2 "security" peacocks and a peahen. i walk head down all over the property watching for those glints of unbelievable blues.

Do you put a gesso or glue on the back of the feather before you start cutting it? It seems so magical.

You are on the right track. I developed a process for stabilizing the feathers but what you see is just the natural unenhanced feather.
