You’re an amazing mom for realizing you need to go back to work for your mind too. I’ve been at home for 2 years and contemplating going back to work soon. It’s hard being isolated.

Really enjoy watching your videos so please do not take this the wrong way but as a Christian mom to 8 I would caution Mrs Rachel , lila rose speak a lot about her content n the dangerous it has on children ❤

You give me so much motivation. Here I am struggling with two kids and a full time job of two years. I even went for a part time interview this morning. Not going for because of the financial strain it will bring. The working mom life is tough. But you are right it probably will never get easier but that's okay. ❤ It's just a season mom life. I will be listening to Christian music to calm me down I hate screaming at my babies.

Thank you for sharing! I believe its equally hard whether you are a sahm or a working mom because regardless the bulk of the things fall on mom….whether you work or not. Whether you have a great partner or not- its just reality for most of us. I havent a met a mom yet who doesnt take on most of the load with kids….

For your trip to Kalahari pack things like bagels and cream cheese uncrustables easy Mac, lunchsbles, easy things to keep in the fridge so that you don’t have to buy every single meal out. Also, they say no outside food or drink, but I’ve never had anyone there tell me to put something away that I stashed in my bag.

My baby is 18 months and he drinks normal milk during the day and i nurse him night and morning. I just make sure he understands he only nurses during those times. I love it and don’t know how or when i will ween him. Probably just nurse him till i get pregnant again and let him naturally ween. I work a normal job and its really hard to find time for everything going to the gym and having time with my family is a struggle.

People think being a stay at home Mom is easy, when it is just the opposite!!! Being a working Mom is hard, too. I've done both and being social like you, I needed to go back to work.

2 to 3 kids was actually the easiest transition for me for some reason. I found 1 to 2 and 3 to 4 to be much harder, 3 to 4 being the most difficult.

Great video, Abby!! I learned a lot about you. You are an amazing mom and wife. I believe with all my heart if we don’t depend on Christ and lean on Him that our struggles and trials are even greater. Not saying life’s not tough but God is tougher and He loves us so much that to me life’s journey is a little less hard ❤

Thanks for the QA SESSION ! I agree if you are a mom your life is hard no matter what! My kids are both in high school a different level of tackling stuff then when they were younger for sure! Now I’m just their driver every where they go lol I don’t need to be present where they are because they are older now! So I’m just their free uber driver lol

This was absolutely wonderful. Our lives are very similar. I, too am a mom and teacher, who felt stay at home life was not for me 😅. I have three kids and a coaching husband. Next year he’ll be an athletic director 😅. I also wear one earbud with Christian music playing to deal with the chaos my younger child causes when we get home. God bless you.

Girl yes to Kalahari. We live only an hour from the Round Rock Kalahari and have been several times. We always go during the week and get there as soon as the water park opens. Go check in the hotel even though it’s too early for a room and they will txt u when the room is ready during the day. They will keep ur luggage for you. This way you can enjoy everything longer and get the most out of your money. My kids enjoyed the arcade and all those activities at Tom Foolery’s just as much as the water park. The breakfast buffet is pricey but Ah-mazing!! Alcoholic drinks in water park are scrumptious. And fancy shakes at the restaurant with the bowling alley are awesome! Sooo much fun! Let me know if you have any questions

Could not agree more about Christian music calming us down 💜. I have the Pandora App for free (there are commercials) but I’ve created my own channels. I have a Lauren Daigle channel, a CeeCee Wynans, gospel music, church hymns depending on my mood. Also have 80s channel when I want to relieve my teens 😏. I appreciate you acknowledging that staying home with kids or working outside the home is a personal thing. Some have to work out of necessity, others feel very isolated staying home and that’s not good for Mom or kids, and you’re not judging ! Some video ideas: planning/saving for a big purchase or experience like a new car, major appliance, upgrade to the house. Do the kids get an allowance? I know they’re all quite young, but do they help cook, pickup etc? Do you have any little ways you celebrate Valentines Day or St Patrick’s Day or Easter with the kids? Follow ups and I apologize if I’ve missed these- Do you still do the big Sam’s shop once a month ? Do you and Trey still own hr building you bought? Just love seeing ur videos and family
@dianejones86062 күн бұрын
You and Trey are so grounded and disciplined. Did you both come from Christian upbringings? You seem to have great financial knowledge and common sense, that some couples never figure out. I really enjoy watching your family and your openness to share your faith!

I love your faith walk. The period in life when the kids are little is overwhelming and such a such a busy time but as you know as time goes on, it gets easier in small areas and one day suddenly you have a house full of teenagers and it becomes somewhat easier because they’re able to do more things for themselves and help out and that’s when you really start to appreciate having such a close net larger family. It’s such a beautiful thing and it really fills your heart

I love watching you Abby! I have to say, to me, you seem a lot happier and are smiling so much more. It doesn’t look forced just genuine. I get it…I’ve been a stay at home mom to two kids their entire life. They are now 17 and 19 ( almost 20). It is so hard on you mentally. We do what we have to do. So glad you are back to work and navigating a new schedule for your family…you look really happy! You are so lucky to be able to be at the same school as your family. Keep going …you are an inspiration!

I think you are making too many sacrifices in the name of “Trey works” I can tell you pretty much do everything at home, with the kids, work full time. I don’t think that’s fair. You can’t even work out in the mornings because he’s working. Have you ever thought of changing paths with his career so he can be present and available for not only you but the kids as well? The culture of Father’s working from sun up to sun down and not really being present in the home is so outdated. I wouldn’t put up with it. Things change as your family grows and you are definitely doing more than your fair share. He really needs to step up and give you some more options because you WILL get burnt out.

It is very rude and condescending for you to act like you know the ins and outs of their marriage… you have no idea how much of the load Trey takes on. You simply have no idea. Me and Abby’s personality is very similar and I take on more then I can seemingly can bear because that’s just who I am lol! My husband is my help mate in absolutely everything but in the end I do more at the house and he works outside of the house that’s our roles. And it’s rude for you to assume…. You know what they say about assuming………..
