Great message. I would also like to compliment the young lady who sang the Hallelujah song. She has a unique hauntingly soulful, kind of country voice. I have heard heard her sing before and it really is enjoyable. Also the young woman who sang the closing song, I have heard many times before and I take her professional soulful voice for granted as she always sounds amazing. Creekside has some “professional” talent. Ought to put out a CD. God Bless.

Really inspirational service, Thank you Joel and all Creekside. The info on. Barrabus was so interesting to me as I often have thought what he might have felt or his life thereafter. I hope he did see the goodness of Jesus and that he truly was the son of God. Thank you Joel, Esther Riddle now in Kansas. 🥰💓🙏🙏🙏

I attended this service and I was really taken aback when Scott said he had lunch with the Elk Grove Pastors and he said some of the church’s were actively seeking LGBT Pastors! I think it’s great however I think this church does not accept the LGBT COMMUNITY. I am torn, I’ve been attending for 10 months.

I am surprised that the church tiptoed around this assassination attempt of former President Trump. Yes it is political and cultural but so is the trans movement and the infiltration of warping our children’s minds regarding sexual identity etc which is being forced in our schools. But our church was not afraid to engage in that fight or maintain “political correctness”. And yet a former president was shot at and injured while two rally attendees were also injured and one rally attendee died and nobody could say a prayer for these individuals and for Donald Trump and his family? Wow. This is a huge tragic event and will be documented for history to see and all our church could do was talk about “craziness” of the weekend events? If it had been any of the other former presidents would our pulpit have been as indirect? Whatever you think of Donald Trump, he was a president and may be our next president. Yes, I support him. Yes he is controversial. But I do know that King David was controversial as well. And I know Jesus didn’t “ignore” Mary because she was a prostitute. It doesn’t take courage to say a prayer for the former president and his family, as well as those who were injured, killed and the families who will have to live with the results of this cultural event. These are people and not widgets that were part of the “craziness” that happened over the weekend. So I pray for former President Trump, his family and for the man who lost his life at the rally and the other two people who were injured by a disturbed individual. May the man who died attending the rally, rest in peace and may God console his family. May the individuals who were injured have a speedy and full recovery. Amen.

Thank you for your comment, but please recognize that by Sunday morning, it was clear President Trump "and his family" were fine. Who it was had no bearing on how much attention we gave it, it was appropriate to call events of the last day crazy and a prayer was said. Our hearts go out to the person killed, to Trump and how scary that must have been for him, the shooter and his family, and those injured - but literally thousands of people in the US die every single day, hundreds of those are killed by others. Their lives matter as much as anyone. Our goal is never political correctness, our goal is to worship God and teach His Word and strive for Creeksiders to live for Christ in our thoughts, heart, and actions.

“But literally thousands of people in the US die every single day hundreds of those are killed by others.” Really that is your response? Wow. Lots of compassion. I am pretty sure the church has made comments praying for specific high profile incidents before… this was a high profile incident…good to know you are sure Trump and his family were alright…your response is pretty callous.

@@CreeksideChristianChurch “But literally thousands of people die in the U.S. every single day.” Well I guess we shouldn’t pray for individual people or groups because thousands of people die every single day. Not concerned with political correctness? What you said was the epitome of political correctness. And yes Jesus Christ is more important than politics. It’s okay to bring attention to specific people and specific events. It doesn’t take away any focus or power from God. I don’t know about you but my God is more powerful than that.

Christ is risen! And we are justified by the Father through the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Today is the joyful celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. He rose from the dead by the power of God demonstrated by the Spirit of God! That same Spirit works by the Power of God in us today, reminding us that we are Children of God by right of birth, and we are now Holy and Righteous as He is by right of inheritance in Jesus Christ. We are all one new creation created through the resurrection in Jesus Christ in the image of God whose name is SON and whose head is Jesus Christ. We are all carefully preserved by God the Father through the action of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ, Risen from the dead. Today is just a holiday that reminds us of what happened to the world 2000 years ago. But today we celebrate in the joy of Christ's resurrection and in the hope of the transformation of our bodies into the likeness of the resurrected body of Jesus Christ. Just as Paul wrote that all creation lives in anticipation of the revelation of the Sons of God. Christ is RISEN and we are risen with Him! In truth he is RISEN and we are all resurrected in Him! Glory to God our Father! He is worthy of glory and honor and worship in Jesus Christ!

Pastor Scott you gave me so much hope the last 10 years. You were my pastor through all the huge milestones- getting married, having children and being part of Creekside. I selfishly wish you’d decide to stay but I will always be grateful for you! You are my favorite pastor, I frequently listen to your sermons on repeat throughout the week when I need encouragement. Blessings!

Hello, I am so happy I can watch Creekside on Utube, from Kansas. Pastor Scott has a certain talent given to him by God to teach me more & more about the scriptures in such a way I can find elsewhere. I do enjoy my church here & am still learning & enjoying new Christian friends and God still blesses me everyday. Esther R.
