In Missouri, we've called that "the DeGood' and use a different setup. Instead of overhooking one side / then taking the collar -and threading it-clasping our own tricep /bicep; we secure the collar tie first. The opponent should circle away from the collar tie side. That is when we over hook that arm / and trap that bicep. Next we thread it and clasp the forearm of (our) collar tie arm. Keep the overtie elbow downward. This setup can be used like a lateral; A step-through; a Japanese whizzer variation; use the push pull concepts to set up opponent to be thrown. This tie has it's applications.

If you’re up on points and looking to stall I guess this is good. I don’t know how I like pinning my arms underneath my opponent, even if they can’t do much either.
@LongIslandMMA Жыл бұрын
Try it and let us know what you think. Most of the time, your opponent will dig for an underhook. When he does that, he will open himself for a darce choke... but you are correct. You do pin your arms under him. You also pin your arms under your opponent for a body lock pass.
