Those quartz deposits are not bugged - they are underground in a deep cave system. The easiest entrance is near the coal at the inlet on the right.

I made the iron Farm, everything seems fine except the iron nuggets, ingots and blocks are stuck in the basin and not going into my chest. I filtered so only iron blocks go in the chest. Any idea why this is happening?

Did some testing in 1.20.1 create version 0.5.1.h At Full Speed, 256 RPM 1. this makes 10k iron ingot per hour 2. Only requires 76,800 SU. If you are wanting this contraption to have its own SU creator. One LVL 5 Boiler produces more than enough. 2x2x6 including the blaze burners. that is a superheated blaze burners creating 81,920 SU. Otherwise, a 3x3x4 including the blaze burners heated is a lvl 6 creating 98,304 SU

Dunes are best, by a wide margin. The only minor downside is that SAM ore is a bit scarce

@@JragonYT There are three deposit clusters right next to the ocean and one cluster that is next to water wells. Only two clusters are fairly far away from any water source. There is abundant Biomass available in the Oasis, the desert river and in the Mycelia Forest. The only minor drawback are fairly long travel distances. So you really should know what you are doing. So for first time players, not a good start, but for anybody wiho groks the early to mid game, it is awesome.

If you are seasoned then best place is by the falls on Crater Lake and Rocky Desert. It’s only lacking in quartz.

before 1.0 the northern forest was very good especially because of the imense variety of resourses but it received a big cut in the update, with the removal of the pure coal, the two pure quartz, and some catherium and sulfur nearby. still id give it a 6/10 based on my experience in 0.8 and 1.0

@@joy_totil I imagine before the cut I would have given it a higher rating cause of those resources being nearby, but it would still have been probably 5-6/10 cause of how hard it would be to build larger factories. Especially for things like reinforced iron plates in the early game.

@@JragonYT For water you can just go near the cliff and where the coal is in the corner go through there and youll find where the oil is and there is a bunch of water there so thats that for water as for steel you can go to the place with the high rocks in the desert and turn that to steel.

Hey, nice Video, i had around 250h in the game (at the start of the play) I started in the desert,Water is not that much of an issue at the early game, so for tier 1-2 it's a S tier start because you get easy acces to mycelia while cutting the non oasis trees, there is relatively hard access to places where you would die, although there are strong enemies, there is a lot of nodes and pretty high purity for all the basic stuffs (copper, iron, limestone) (9/10) for tier 3-4 it's like 6/10 cause you have a relatively good access to a bit of water that you need, for tier 5-6 it's very hard to just stay in the desert and you get forced to expand so 5/10 (I don't like expending). for tier 7-8 it's starting to be hard, no easy access to any uranium/bauxite around, forced to expend very far where monsters pretty strong are, but its not that dramatic 6/10 im not in tier 9 yet 😅, soon tho There is not that many slugs,mercer spheres, summerloops and drop pods but easy access to mycelia, not that little sulfur around, more than enough coal in the desert (more in the north) Overall, my rating would be 7/10, some logistical difficulties but bearable for non "newbies who just started the game"

@@raphaelcarre6144 yeah I figured as soon as you’re past the phase of burners things would start to get harder because of the lack of water, but it’s interesting to see for the later phase that things get a decent bit harder. Thanks for your input!

@JragonYT basically in tier 7-8 for bauxite you need to go to the swamp or to the mid North and both those places are extremely filled with danger and monsters that go sometimes to uranium and value that goes above 15 to 20 protein ... so yeah pretty hard

For anyone that is finding cobblestone spreading everywhere, and has built from the schematic, the brass funnel for the gantry barrel is pointing in the wrong direction. 6:28 shows it correctly, the schematic is wrong.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I actually built it manually and didn't realise the brass funnel was intended to face outside, and the cobble was gushing out like CRAZY! You saved me a ton of time, since I was gonna ask some inactive people in my server to show me their iron farm (they made the same design)

I feel like something will go wrong not just making a world in the new patch. Like, that feels like asking for trouble no matter what the devs have said. All the people looking to migrate their factories and get an early start I think are in for a rough time not just deciding to start fresh after go time.

@@BlackMage_01 I feel like since I only did the 1st elevator phase it shouldn’t be too bad. I’m pretty sure they wanted ppl to make new worlds because of the changes to ore nodes, since that would break a lot of factories everywhere on the map.

adding more fans doesnt increase the speed at which it washes items. 1 does just fine. even making it spin faster doesnt change. its a set value.

3:42 just a quick tip, but the gaps in the floor walkway spawn motors and water filters , I find 1 or the other nearly every raid

Can you buy the key off the flea market? Or do you have to farm it. I am low lvl pve player with begginer stuff and pmc can be challenge ,if any bosses I stand no chance

You can buy it off flea although its expensive, and there shouldnt be any bosses unless you spawn pretty far from the black pawn building, then you have a chance to run into Gluhar

for the first farm, if you don't have brass yet, you can replace the brass funnel and chest with a toolbox and andesite funnel with iron nuggets and flint taking up the slots in the toolbox.

Have just built this in a world, there may be an issue on my end, not sure, but I am finding the pumps are only supplying the tank up to level 2. To solve this i have just removed the hand crank and connected the third water input cog to the front cog using 2 shafts and a vertical gearbox. I can just swap the crank back in if needed. Just in case anyone comes across the same issue. Love your work, great realistically sized boiler in a compact space. would love to see more!

That might've been because 2 of the 4 blaze burners didn't have lava in them, which would cause that too happen. Cause i just tested this and with all the blaze burners active the hand crank should be able to get it back up and running fully.

You should be able to use easyvillagers for their iron farm I believe that mod is in your pack. It’s a block you can make and put your villagers in. They also have a breeder and incubator.

Create has a Schematicannon that will build things automatically for you if it has an inventory next to it that has the blocks you need.
