Things are going slowly, but no problems. We have a furnace that someone has found for us to keep us working in the basement during the bitter cold :)

Being connected to a municipal sewer system is always a good thing, but you have a solid concrete slab in the basement with ICF stem walls with a water proof membrane and dimple mat on the outside to keep water away from the stem wall and foundation. I would say you are already in the 21st century.

I know! But we have to electrical done, and then gas lines and then plumbing…. Major progress with a sewer line though!

Thank you for the oval brush idea!!!!! Wow! THANK YOU! I have been using underlayment as temporary wall panels in my shop, and wanted to paint them to give them at least a descent look…but the grooves are so deep and even a high nap roller doesn’t hold enough paint. So glad I came to this video!

He provided the well pump that we had bought at an auction in exchange for a larger diameter well. Basically, the well driller doesn't want to let the homeowner put in the well pump. So, it's a package deal.

The other aspect that is important about the pex for radiant, is that it has an oxygen barrier. Hence the oxygen. Air can actually go through plastic slowly, and you don’t want air in these systems. Looking good. Glad you’re still getting help!

Hi! Thanks for your interest :). Yes, it seems that ICFs (Insulated Concrete Forms) are not common here at all. I don’t know why. They an easy way to increase the R factor of your home. I guess change is hard!

I’m glad it was of help. We had not heard of form-a-drain before this build. The county inspector recommended it as well as a local contractor. It seems to work well!

Hi Becky! It just pours cement into a hopper connected to the pumper truck. I thought I showed that in the video, but it may be in another post that features the pumper truck :)

It has been raining a LOT, so all the excavators are behind. We’ve rented a skid steer, but we still need a professional with the proper equipment. Hopefully, one will come yet this week.
