Fill the void with colored water, re-freeze and see what happens. Probably turn out to be knarley cool 😎

I imagine an alternate universe where the balls instantly melts towards the side and falls down as a 1000c metal ball rolls across the yard.

4:37 its called copper. It’s used in pennys and in the periodic table. It’s atomic number is 29 If you want to make it again here’s some few chemical reactions involving copper. here are four chemical reactions involving copper: 1. **Copper Oxide Reduction**: \( \text{CuO} + \text{H}_2 ightarrow \text{Cu} + \text{H}_2\text{O} \) In this reaction, copper oxide reacts with hydrogen gas to produce copper and water. 2. **Copper Sulfide Roasting**: \( \text{2CuS} + \text{3O}_2 ightarrow \text{2CuO} + \text{2SO}_2 \) Copper sulfide is heated in the presence of oxygen to produce copper oxide and sulfur dioxide. 3. **Copper Carbonate Decomposition**: \( \text{CuCO}_3 ightarrow \text{CuO} + \text{CO}_2 \) Copper carbonate decomposes upon heating to produce copper oxide and carbon dioxide. 4. **Copper Nitrate Decomposition**: \( \text{2Cu(NO}_3\text{)}_2 ightarrow \text{2CuO} + \text{4NO}_2 + \text{O}_2 \) Copper(II) nitrate decomposes upon heating to produce copper oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and oxygen.

I know this is two years ago but depend on what metal these balls are made from, at 1,500 c these balls would turn into liquid or about to.

The latent heat of fusion of ice is high compared to the heat capacity of a metal ball so you wouldn’t expect very much to happen.

At 1,500c, how long do your crucibles last? That's a fairly high temp for those kinds of foundries, at least that i've seen.
