My theory is steve was a survivor and has ptsd when he comes to the mine maybe herobrine was a miner and steve is wearing a miner uniform that was rotten and damaged and lost his memory or if he sees a mine he remembers a bit and it plays those sounds in his head?

My theory: The scene starts with two miners in one minecart and one on another following it. Cave sound 6 aka the engine is heard when they start the engine and take off passing other miners. The miners are Alex, Steve, and Herobrine (before he became bad). They had just finished a day of mining and are heading back home. Cave sound 3 aka the low pitched orchestra is heard, as the minecart now has gained more speed and is rumbling on the tracks. Meanwhile further up the tracks is a mineshaft crossing, the creeper is nearby waiting for a minecart to come by. Steve says he wants to get home quicker, so he speeds up the minecart. This is where we hear sound 11. The creeper feels the tracks vibrating. Knowing that a cart is coming, it hisses and prepares for the impact and cave sound 14 is heard. Sound 13 is heard, the wind from the minecart echoes through the shaft. Steve and the others are getting closer, but rocks fall onto the minecart. This is where sound 12 is heard. Steve throws the rocks out, but then notices the creeper up ahead. He warns Alex and Herobrine, and applies the brakes and blows the whistle. Sounds 10 and 1 and heard. As Steve tries to stop the minecart, it scrapes on the stone. This is where sound 5 is heard. Then, the minecart reaches the creeper, and it explodes, creating sound 15. The explosion causes Steve alex and Herobrine to fall out, and the minecart tumbles down into another mineshaft. Sound 16 is heard As sound 7 aka the gong is heard as suspense of the aftermath, Steve, Alex and Herobrine get up next to their broken minecart and ask each other if they’re alright. Suddenly, they hear wind from another minecart, where sound 9 is heard. The minecart is being driven by the other miners. It is heading towards the dilapidated crossing, unaware of the tragedy that just happened. Steve and Alex quickly move out of the way, as they know the tracks the minecart is on have been destroyed and they now dip down to the shaft they’re in. Herobrine notices, but it’s too late. The minecart slams into him, killing him and the miners driving it, and the crash echoes throughout the caves. This creates sounds 17 and 4 at the same time. The screeching sound in sound 17 is Alex screaming, seeing her friend get killed, and the banging sound in sound 17 is emeralds falling out of both minecarts. Sounds 8 and 2 are heard, as the miner takes his last breath and his soul ascends. Steve and Alex notice the minecart that hit theirs has also hit aa support beam. Knowing the shaft they’re in is about to collapse, they quickly run out of it. As they make it out, they hear the shaft collapsing behind them. Sound 18 is heard. They run through the cave and are almost out, when they hear an enderman behind them. They turn around. The enderman is angry that they made it out alive. He starts chattering “now it’s your guy’s turn!” Sound 19 is heard. Alex and Steve run out as quickly as they can. And to this day, they have memories of the worst day of their lives.
