Dae Su wants to find out why he was imprisoned and how it all went down from Lee Woo Jins POV which is why he didn't kill him immediately. Lee Woo Jin doesn't kill him because he wants to torture him psychologically as long as possble before the revelation. It all makes sense when you realize the plan isn't simple revenge but an exceptionally fucked up psychological revenge.

37:15 Yeah, he's miscast! Napoleon was 24 at the start of the movie, and in his 40s at Waterloo. Plus he was super charismatic. Joaquin is a great actor, but he's not young and sparkly.
