I’ve stayed at many Constance hotels in Mauritius and the Seychelles, but the best one by far is Constance Prince Maurice. Constance Belle Mare is ideal for families with children, in my opinion. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, Belle Mare might be too lively, especially in the restaurants, buffet, and entertainment areas, where running and screaming children can be quite distracting. (Btw, I did go during the school holiday season Bella Mare, so that could have played a role.)

Nice video, but didn’t really find Mauritus that special. I guess I’ve travelled the world too much, the mix of cultures I’ve seen first hand, and much of the food takes outside influence. The beaches are fine, personal Caribbean, Mexico and south East Asia are my favourite beaches world wide. The people are nice enough, but the country has a lot of things it needs to resolve.
