I am japanese, and the meaning of the kira kira✨ emoji feels almost natural to me. And I always thought it conveyed the same meaning in the West. I was surprised how you struggled to describe how thiis emoji makes you feel. Kira kira ✨ just means "to shine" like after you thoroughly cleaned your kitchen or your car., it can expand to describe a clean and tidy room. For short, it describes something immaculate. Japanese people value a lot hygiene and cleanliness, and something immaculate is synonym to perfection. Something flawless and impeccable represent perfection as much as a shining star represent gorgeousness. The symbolism became an easy bridge for conveying the sense of fascination, Regarding the usage of this symbol in mangas, it was mostly drawn in the eyes of a character, exagerating "shining eyes" of someone fascinated. Then, in the same way as the "angry symbol 💢", it also appeared out of the face range of the character, in order to emphasise the expression. One notable difference : kira kiras ✨ drawn around a character can either mean the character is idealised and seen as perfect/handsome, either mean the character is fascinated by someone/something (in this case, the ✨ usually appears also in their eyes).

well, i guess the problem is never the idea and concept behind each brand. the problem is caused by execution, consistency, ease of use for seniors and disabled, and privacy. i had become an android user since HTC magic, which i used to replace my iphone 3G. with all these years of immersing myself in this ecosystem, i have just finally got fed up. the same frustration coming from windows, too. i made that jump, into the walled garden. and damn it, i just love the peacefulness in apple ecosystem. i know my apple device will just work wherever i go. with AI massively rising up, privacy has become a very core thing. i know apple isn’t that innocent, but google and microsoft are the kids on the block. there is virtually no other option if i want to stay mainstream.

Appreciate the video and thoughts, I think that's definitely what they're going for. But I personally don't think there's enough there to warrant it. A dash of colour in the UI and a handful of widgets doesn't cut it imo (as a Pixel user)
