Great video. I have played AoS for a few years and am slowly getting into 40k. I have about four units of Salamanders, working on painting them up. I look forward to adding to their ranks and hopefully getting them out for a battle in 2025. In a smaller, friendly game (1,000 points), do they really need transports to be effective? Or are they able to plod their way on foot into proper flamer range, provided there is at least some good cover, on the smaller board size?

Yeah the blood angels was ofcourse removed to be replaced by a worse and more expensive one. GW really making ads for resin printers and piracy.

I got into 40K for Deathwatch, and then after getting my first models GW said “Yeah, you’re not a individual faction anymore, we’re just gonna lump you together with Imperial Agents and wreck your codex. Sorry 🤷🏽‍♂️”

Brand new to the game= pick a faction you think looks cool and go from there.

in my personal opinion while I agree with the Beast Snagga box having more variety would be an improvement (a painboss would've been a cool addition), but the Orkz being a horde army actially makes how many you get a *really* good starting point. If you can manage to grab a hold of both this *and* a beast snagga stampede (itself an amazing set), you have a good variety of different units along with 30 boyz, and a 1k point army with just two purchases.

Unfortunately both of the 2 local game stores by me sell 40k stuff as GW msrp. Not worth it so I’ll stick with Amazon since it’s still the cheapest even more so than other online sellers like wargame portal or frontline gaming

Great video! One thing I wanted to point out however was that the tzaangors are not daemons but mutated humans. Beastmen also exist in the imperium and are not on a kill-on-sight list but often discriminated against and that’s why they often fall to chaos.

I just noticed this but the tyranid and the ultramarine combat patrols are both in the starter set that you can buy for a significantly cheaper price and get 2 combat patrols, rules book, dice set, rulers, and a map for a much better price than buying 2 combat patrols separately

I printed 3 exocrines, 3 carnifexes, 2 tyrants, 3 biovores and that saved me... a lot. And these resinprints are damn sharp.

I love Warhammer. Read a ton of novels, bunch of videogames. It's just gotten so expensive. The models, then a codex or two, set pieces. It's pretty crazy.

I was introduced to WH40K via Space Hulk Deathwing, read more into the Dark Angels, picked them as my faction. What an excellent faction to work with, they are super secretive and have tons of relic items because of it, which pisses off the Inquisition due to the secrecy. This however allows me to write up a very interesting story for my Dark Angels successor chapter, I completely agree with the MADE FOR BEGINNERS, there is just so much content to work with. That's not even getting into some of the bad ass units you can field, you can make a 2000 point army quite easily with the Dark Angels, 500 points is a breeze, with most of their models being at 2.8 - 3 points per dollar all the way up to 5 points per dollar.

I just began playing Warhammer and collecting and found the old combat patrol for Sisters of Battle and it was marked down to 120$ instead of 160!

I have no experience playing warhammer, and have never painted a mini before. I want to get into it and like the space marines. I've heard from lots of creators that white is the hardest to paint a mini, but I've been very drawn in by the white scars, am I cooked?

For chaos knights you can play a full list of all sizes without a single big knight.

I know I'm late to the party, but my first army was Tau mid 9th edition. The range of models is awesome and pricepoint is pretty alright comparatively. However, the painting is rough, the community will continually mock you and your faction, and you will get absolutely steamrolled by any melee army while trying to learn the game. I love the Tau, but I would bump it down a tier personally.

The Paint job looks amazing man. Keep up the good work! What camera/device do you use to get the close ups? It does a great job getting the details and I'm looking into doing painting videos myself

Hallo im Andy completely new to Warhammer 40k 😅 Im have know the Grey hunter set Space Wolves and the Combat patroul set. Is that oke to start with and what i need next ?

I would say Drukhari should at least be in Should be ok, if not then Tough choice, same with Tsons. It’s not because of the models or cost, but rather the rules. There are already a ton of rules in 40k, and Kabal points and a specialty glass cannon army just make it that much harder

Dark Eldar is the hardest faction to play and that should have factored in. Tau are also a hard to navigate army these days. I wouldn't recommend them to beginners who aren't dead-set on their aesthetic. That said I play 9 factions and can agree on most of the other ones. Tyranids are a bit easier to play than Tau or Dark Eldar but still moderately difficult and have a LOT of REALLY COOL models that are super crap. So beginners need to tread carefully. Unless they're in it for the look and feel and couldn't give a single crap about their results on the battlefield

my problem is my favorite faction since i was a kid was ad mech and scared to collect them from the building painting skill gap since im new but i like necrons daemons and tyranids and not sure what to do. like the faction i love the most is ad mech but if anyone has pointers id appreciate it
