I have to buy a new file. I’m looking at a Korean one that someone remarked it was the same as the model you used ..except they stopped selling it.

Here's the efile we love and offer: ericasata.com/collections/electric-files
@vivalavienails3 күн бұрын
Those E-files are definitely cheap and i wouldn't use them professionally but those also wouldn't have been the correct bits to use to remove polish. I would hope that if someone purchased those E-files they would purchase bits outside of the ones that come in the kit because they aren't meant for heavy duty nail services with acrylic and hard gels. I understand not having $400+ to spend when you're first getting started, it's not feasible for most. I certainly wouldn't purchase one from Temu, I would get it from Amazon because there are some nice affordable e-files on Amazon. That's what I used until I had enough business and could afford my truly professional e-file that cost a lot of money. I try to never yuck on someone else's yum. Being A newly licensed Nail Tech is extremely expensive. You just finished paying for school, you're trying to get clients. You might be paying rent. You have to have products. So in the beginning you do what you have to do but I have to agree that I don't think Temu is the way to go but Amazon is reasonable until you can afford luxury?

I’m just an enthusiast and my Medicool pro is absolutely amazing! I was also able to do a 12 month payment plan which really helped since I’m only doing my mom and my nails and not making money from nails. Worth it.

@toolmom67675 күн бұрын
Definitely! I used a brand new nail bit that I bought on Amazon. It took me FOUR hours (😮 😱 !) just to remove product from my nails and clean up the cuticles. The next day, I bought a set of Erica's bits. Cleanup only took 45 minutes! Yes, that is a long time if you are working on client's nails, but I was working on my own hands and I'm not very ambidextrous in this task. Put a pool stick in my hands and I can use both hands equally well, switching the stick from one hand to another to get the best shot.

Hey! Is it better to sterilize nail tools with UV light or high temperature machine or just leave them marinate in special liquid and wash it with water? Thank you! 🩷🩷🩷

The most effective disinfection process is using an autoclave machine (high temp and pressure) 👍

You should prep the false nail by etching and wiping with IPA. Then prep your own nails the same way you would for any other nail service. And I always start with doing a pinky on each hand and then doing each finger left to right so they’re all being done at the same time. You need to put in a little effort and with that glue you’ll get up to 3 weeks wear

Rule #1 for press ons/full cover tips or polygel: always do your dominant hand first when your energy, patients and interest is high. Dominant hands always come out janky, so you need all the help you can get.
