DC-10 engine sets lower in the back they didn't like DC-10 or MD 11s have to use a crane to remove the back engine for maintenance very costly

Tail number N289UP is an MD11. The winglets give it away.

MD-11 slightly longer and wider than DC-10, but same basic platform

@@indianaaviation5941 Worked at Boeing Field in Everett. Not on the 777 but i love to watch full Throttle Test in the the Stalls there. 747, 787. I felt scared for the ground crews because that plane was jumping like a dog in heat, on a leash.

American airlines used to fly them for a majority of their flights I really wish they still had them but now American is garbage with filthy dirty broke down junk planes and I will not fly with them anymore
