The current political situation makes this very urgent. The projection quality is great. Watch my other videos, for example the the Chuck Norris film snippets. These videos are all projetect with this Bauer P8 machine.

love it, gorgeous film - love the end, hitting the huge Beverly bridge at speed and then charging through the Cascades under full electric power with a final drink in that amazingly sexy end of train lounge car.

Habt ihr auch die nächtlichen Moorgeräusche auf Lager? Mir würde das beim Einschlafen gut helfen, weil mich die Geräusche an der Hund der Baskervilles erinnert. Ich finde diese Geschichte ganz und gar nicht gruselig. Ich schlafe Abends oft ein zu den vielfältigen Sherlock Holmes Hörspielen.

Today we have ACELA. Not a heck of a lot of luxury but it gets you to NYC or DC in good time. Or, we have the NEC Regionals. Sort of like Greyhound on the rails. The travelers have changed, and the world has changed. Good or bad? You answer the question.

The section from 1:27 to 2:12 is the eastbound departing Philadelphia, passing the Philadelphia Zoo and Zoological Drive and later Girard Avenue bridge crossing the Schuylkill River. My favorite part of the narration was at 6:35 "passing through New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia" I believe there is a state missing, the name of which is on the tip of my tongue (and on the side of the cars, the motors, the buildings, and just about everything else) ...

US Mail helped defray the cost of passenger service. When the mail was taken off of the railroads, the end of passenger service was inevitable.

@@cats0182 This happened in 1967, I believe. For NP fans, loss of this contract eventually doomed North Coast Limited and Mainstreeter. The Mainstreeter was the heavy mail hauler; in 1960 I recall a 20-car train leaving St. Paul. I detrained at Perham.

I lived and worked by the Milwaukee tracks along the Black foot river and rolled the mile long tunnel and the trail itself on the Hiawatha bike trail before they opened it up. A lot of history along those tracks...

Hallo ich habe den alten Filmprojektor meiner Schule abgekauft. Leider geht er nicht an, habe das Kaltgerätekbel schon ausgetauscht, daran liegt es nicht. Hoffentlich nur eine Sicherung. Hast du Erfahrung damit, bzw wo ich die Sicherung finde? Es handelt sich um einen Bauer P6 Automatic, scheint aber diesem Modell hier sehr ähnlich zu sein. Beste Grüße

Dear Adrian, yes a Bauer P8 is a very recommendable projector. This was standart into germany a long time.....You could look on www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de...there often cames up such projectors. I think shipping this projetor to Argentina isn´t a big deal. This machines weight is 16kg so it would be no problem to send it with DHL, the packages of them goes up till 31kg.....But If you need some movies, let me know. Best wishes from germany

I am also finding out shipping costs by Fedex, DHL or Courier from an address in the USA to Buenos Aires. It is expensive. Will see. Thanks

This video is shit!! The robotic voice is correct in it's narrative. However, the pictures do NOT show images of the Custer Creek wreck of 1938. They show the Northern Pacific's train, the North Coast Limited. The images are from the late 50s. (Wrong railroad, wrong train and wrong year)

I don't believe you are correct. Look hard. The engines are electrified. The Northern Pacific was not electrified. And the cool rear observation car was unique to the Hiawatha.
